Help Us Bring Hope, Health, and the Love of Christ to Ethiopia

Dear Friends and Supporters,

This October, Abokin, Inc. will be traveling to Soddo, Ethiopia, on a mission of faith, compassion, and service. Our team will be working alongside local communities to provide spiritual training, health education, practical resources, and humanitarian support to families in need.

During this mission trip, we plan to train approximately 40 lay church workers in Bible study methods, church leadership, and elder responsibilities. We will also distribute Bibles, Christian literature, and educational materials to help strengthen and encourage local ministries.

In addition to spiritual outreach, we are preparing several humanitarian projects designed to meet practical needs within the community. These efforts include:

Distributing over 500 cloth diapers to families
Providing 200 Days for Girls hygiene kits for young women and girls
Hosting health education and natural remedies training
Conducting a reading glasses clinic
Providing dental hygiene education and supplies
Distributing baby blankets and girls’ dresses
Sponsoring at least one clean water well, with hopes for a second if funding allows

Each gift, large or small, will directly impact lives and help bring hope, dignity, health, and encouragement to the people we serve.

Here are a few ways you can help:

$10 sponsors one hygiene kit for a girl
$14 provides one Bible
$50 helps supply educational and medical materials
$100 assists with outreach and humanitarian supplies
$5,000 sponsors a community water well

Baptism of 43 new souls in Awosoase, Ghana, a few years ago, after a 10 day evangelistic crusade. Trained Abokin lay worker, Ahia Reuben Quarcoo participated in this wonderful event.

We praise God for the work that our founder, the late Dr. Lindsay Thomas, Jr., began in Africa over 60 years ago in the training of lay workers there to spread the gospel. May God continue to bless the work of Abokin, Inc. as we move forward in 2026!
