There are about 12 active members keeping County Line Baptist Church alive and well. Twelve faithful souls, still worshiping in the same place our formerly enslaved ancestors first gathered 157 years ago. They opened those doors in 1868—and somehow, by grace and grit, those doors are still open today.
They probably had no idea what this ministry would become. But we do. We know how much they loved that church. And we know it’s our honor to carry that love forward.
This Sunday, we celebrate not just an anniversary, but a family legacy. A legacy of faith, resilience, and unity. I’m not one of the twelve, but I’m one of the many who stand behind them—cheering them on, supporting the mission, and doing my part to make sure the story continues.
If you’re near Geneva, Texas, come worship with us at The Historic County Line Baptist Church—a Texas Historical Site with a living legacy. If you’re not nearby, make the drive. Or send your $1.57 offering via Cash App to $YoBo and help us honor 157 years of praise.
We’re not just keeping a church open. We’re keeping a promise made long ago—and still kept today.
