Yes, we can help pay bills, but sometimes it’s not enough if they’re constantly being taken advantage of. It’s easy for most of us to judge single or low-income families, but it’s that same stigma they battle in everyday life that also holds them hostage.

We won’t just throw rent money at bad landlords. Sometimes it takes a third party to let them know that their treatment of marginalized families is unacceptable, and even illegal.

They’re used to getting away with it, because most people in our clients’ positions have never had anyone stand up for them.

Our model of case management isn’t just a means to con women into keeping their babies. It’s a method of empowerment to change the trajectory of their lives and make motherhood a joy, rather than a burden.
