Tomorrow at CHRIST IS KING CHURCH we kick off our 2025 Advent Series. Advent is the time of year we set aside to focus on the birth of Christ. This year we’ll take time each week to take a closer look at the good news the angels shared with the shepherds the night Jesus was born. Tomorrow’s sermon will focus on verse 10, “Good news, of great joy, for all people.”

Join us as we worship the Lord, come to the table, and are once again inspired by the greatest news in the world.

Just moments before he was assassinated, Charlie Kirk was preaching the Gospel to the crowd gathered at Utah Valley University.

This wasn’t an anomaly, but the norm.

Kirk was an evangelist and missionary to college campuses. He was killed preaching the Gospel. He is a Christian martyr.

Rest in peace dear brother.

Hatred.

I knew there was a lot of deception flowing in the bloodstream of our culture. A one-eyed pirate with cataracts could see that. But it wasn’t until the last 48 hours that I began to realize just how much hatred was boiling under the surface. Pure, unbridled hatred.

This clear eyed sobriety is disorienting.

Without Christ giving us new hearts, the heart of man is not only deceitful but desperately wicked.

There truly is no hope apart from Christ.

Revival is no longer a luxury to be hoped for. Revival has become a necessity for survival.

Christ have mercy.
