Project Tiger III in San Antonio refers to a $15 million federal TIGER III grant awarded to VIA Metropolitan Transit for the Westside Multimodal Transit Center (WMTC) at Cattleman's Square. Unfortunately, this area is where most prostitution, drugs, homelessness, and crime are situated in the city of San Antonio.

The incumbent, Joaquin Castro, has had ample opportunities to demonstrate accountability of these funds, but he has not. Cattleman's Square is located in the 20th Congressional District of Texas. And the incumbent has been too busy, not legislating, but doing what? As noted on www.castrogate.com, multiple instances of fraud need to be brought to light.

It is time to bring accountability!

San Antonio, a vibrant city rich in culture and history, faces substantial challenges that demand urgent and effective leadership. The poverty rate stands at a daunting 18.4%, underscoring a pressing need for economic revitalization strategies that prioritize job creation and support for families. Furthermore, the property crime rate of 54.05% reflects the urgent requirement for comprehensive public safety measures that build trust and ensure safety in our communities.

Education, the foundation of our future, also calls for attention. When 52% of our children struggle to read, it signals a crisis that limits their potential and future opportunities. Coupled with multiple schools earning an “F” rating, it is clear that reform and investment in our education system are essential.

Adding to the distress, San Antonio has the second-highest homeless population in Texas. This situation demands compassionate and innovative solutions to housing and mental health that go beyond temporary fixes. The closure of businesses further exacerbates these issues, as economic vitality dwindles and job opportunities slip away.

Unfortunately, the current congressional leadership in the 20th District appears unresponsive to these pressing needs. With an incumbent reluctant to legislate effectively for San Antonio’s future, it’s time for a change—a change embodied by Dr. Edgardo Rafael Báez.

Dr. Edgardo Baez is a beacon of hope and a champion for progress. With a visionary approach, he aims to tackle poverty by fostering sustainable economic development and supporting small businesses to invigorate the local economy. By now, everyone knows that the Supreme Court of the United States has upheld the new Texas redistricting maps. With this post, we want to clarify what this means for the newly added constituents of the 20th Congressional District of Texas, as well as for those who have lived in the district under Castro's influence.

When comparing both maps below, you can see that Lackland Air Force Base Military Training (by BMT personnel) and the southwestern part of the district are no longer part of the 20th CD. Additionally, you can see that the entire Downtown San Antonio has been included, along with areas from Windcrest and Kirby. This means exciting news for the people! Change is on the way.

You see, Dr. Edgardo Rafael Báez has been meeting with residents in the district, including those from the newly added Gardendale community, who say the Democrats have let them down! Under the current leadership, the west side of downtown San Antonio has been neglected for far too long.

Drugs, prostitution, underdevelopment, and poverty have overwhelmed the once-thriving communities in these areas. The residents have tried to meet with local authorities to no avail, and their congressman has never shown up, but Dr. Baez has! The Republican Party of Bexar County is dedicated to helping these constituents by supporting the election of a new leader.

It's time to change the direction of this struggling district because of the current "incumbent" and the lack of leadership. We lost both Army North and Army South under Democratic control. The poverty rate remains high under Democrats. Our students can't read, and the school system has failed them during the Democrats' reign. We could go on and on, but you understand what we're pointing to.

We encourage everyone, whether in the new or the old, to carefully consider the best option: an incumbent who has done nothing for them for 13 years, or a new leader who has shown that he truly wants to help those less fortunate. Instead of giving you free stuff, Dr. Baez believes in helping everyone in the district achieve self-sufficiency through hard work and dedication.

Instead of giving you a fish, Dr. Baez will teach you how to fish! His leadership style involves being there with constituents even after being elected for everyone's benefit. That's called participatory leadership. Has the incumbent done the same? We don't think so!
