FROM THE CHAPTER CHAPLAIN: For this month's June message, I continued the theme of self-examination that is intertwined with my May message about separating a vanity-filled vs. value-filled life. It's called "Modern Day gods and idols" where I explain how the first Two of the Ten Commandments are not only authoritative today but how they particularly fit into a vanity- and value-lived life.

JUNE 1ST MONTHLY CHAPTER MEETING AT THE-DENNY'S-WHERE-IT-ALL-BEGAN. Perfect riding weather and graced with a visit from our CMA Texas State Coordinator Ralph Robson (pictured standing), our meeting was 18-attendees strong where we were takin' care of business (every day).

Our new hospitality trailer (generously donated by Everett Yates) is nearly complete and will be ready to support the San Antonio Chapter - GYPSY MC Friends & Family's 52nd annual Aardvark rally in Floresville, June 26-28. Also, our chapter will again represent at the CMA National Rally on Iron Mountain (near Mena, Arkansas) starting two weeks from tomorrow, ending Father's Day. Finally, for prayer requests, two were answered (one for no more cancer and one for no more disease in colon) and existing and new requests were prayed over.

Hope to see you at the next first-Monday-of-the-month meeting on July 6th!

The Alamo Apostles will be hosting Hospitality at the 52nd Annual Aardvark Rally, hosted by the San Antonio Chapter - GYPSY MC Friends & Family.

We will be there June 26, 12 - 7 pm
June 27, all day
Sunday Service, June 28, 8:30 am

Come joins us at Floresville River Park, 1692 TX SH 97 West, for some fellowship and family fun.

FROM THE CHAPTER CHAPLAIN: This month, I shifted gears (no pun intended) from my first four months of messages meant to arm you with tools and knowledge to this one of self-examination. Hence, my message for this month is "King Solomon's assessment of a value-lived life:" separating what makes a value- versus vanity-lived life.

My motivation is to help people make the most of the rest of their life by understanding that there is a brand of work and lifestyle that's "apart from God" (vanity) that will not store up treasures in Heaven and the brand that is not in vain, when you put God front-and-center in your work and life.

It was a beautiful day for a ride last Saturday, as bikers made their way to the 58th Monty Mann Memorial Run at VFW Post 2059 - Michael W. Elben. What a great turnout! Always enjoy walking around the parking lot and admiring the awesome motorcycles.

SERVED THE 58TH ANNUAL MONTY MANN. Last Saturday, December 6th, our chapter supported the 58th Monty Mann Memorial Run at VFW Post 2059 - Michael W. Elben in Kirby, TX, which raises funds and goods for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities who live at the San Antonio State Supported Living Center (SASSLC).

At this gathering of all the Gypsy MC presidents from around the world, we provided free hot coffee, cocoa, snacks and bike blessings, upon request to all attendees. Chapter president Michael Guerrero (blue button-down) hauled in our trailer with all supplies, Blue Rose Alvarez (secretary, wearing the golden Santa hat) worked our table...and bid on half the Gypsy's items in the silent auction :-) , and Everett Yates, Kathleen Narup and CHarley Haag (webmaster) rounded out our support team.

We believe this year's event had the most cheerful and friendliest atmosphere (aided by the perfect weather), as we helped prepare the San Antonio Chapter - GYPSY MC Friends & Family to present a check to the SASSLC in the coming days!
