FROM THE CHAPTER CHAPLAIN: This month's September message is on reminding believers that their responsibility is more than only "gathering yourselves together" at church each Sunday. Jesus' "Great Commission" opens our eyes to realizing the church's role (and reading the Bible daily) is to--in military terms--"organize, train, and equip" us to go outside church walls to be the salt-and-light to this lost-and-dying world every day of the week.

AUGUST 3RD MONTHLY CHAPTER MEETING. Another great meeting with a strong 16 in attendance! Road Captain Everett Yates organized a fellowship ride for this coming Saturday, the 15th (see the Event invite just below this post) and Chaplain CHarley Haag finalized his plan for virtual and in-person monthly Bible studies. Finally, after prayer requests were lifted, we had an extra-special laying-of-hands prayer for "Ray," for his extra-special needs.

In looking ahead to the annual Lone Star Rally in Galveston that we and other chapters support, the "chapter prayer drive" has begun, where we--as chapters--pray for the event and all in attendance.

Officers from the San Antonio chapter participated in the CMA Great Commission’s annual 4th of July Independence Day celebration. Veterans and family, wearing patriotic attire, enjoyed delicious grilled burgers and hotdogs, and wonderful fellowship. The bikers added to the excitement with a couple of laps around the facility. This heartfelt celebration has been a longtime annual tradition for the Great Commission #427, paying tribute to all who served.

JULY 6TH MONTHLY CHAPTER MEETING. This was a spiritually powerful and one-to-remember meeting, with 17 attended and Don Beard and Sherry Beard (of the Spirit Riders #928 CMA in Lytle, TX) as our distinguished visitors!

The meeting kickoff began in a new and more proper way where, from now on, the chapter president (Bob Stinziano) presents and we pledge allegiance to the American and Christian flags. Don and Sherry presented a scrap book of CMA chapter get-together pictures dating back to September 1990 (9 months after our chapter was chartered) where Sherry suggested a third Area-wide fellowship rally, to "keep this scrapbook alive." After discussing business and upcoming rallies and rides, the chapter presented Don and Sherry a picture of appreciation for 37 years of service, which included Don accepting the call more than 3 1/2 years ago to be Southeast Texas (SETX) Area Rep yet again!

Finally, at the end of the meeting where the chaplain takes prayer requests, he now begins with leading everyone in The Lord's Prayer then transitions to praying for the requests. See you at next month's meeting, Lord-willing!

ANNUAL CMA SOUTHEAST TEXAS (SETX) STATE RALLY, BRENHAM, TX, MAY 14-16, 2026: Your Alamo Apostles (chaplain CHarley Haag, Gwen raabe, and James Jr. Raabe) represented, at Fireman's Park, along with the other 28 chapters in the SETX region, where there was much fellowship, food, fun, and prayer for each other (such as Area Rep Celina Nelson, in the below pictures), police officers, and waitresses/patrons at downtown restaurants!

Mornings began with a sunrise group prayer gathering, evenings were musical worship services, and in-between were group rides, bike games, a bike show, downtown eats, and a visit to one of the only three Blue Bell ice cream production facilities in the USA!

The most distinguishing moment was the ceremonial honoring of prior Area Rep Don Beard and his wife Sherry for selflessly accepting the unplanned call to be the SETX Area Rep for over the last 3 1/2 years, where National Evangelist for the South-Central Region, Steve (and Lynne) Brackeen, CMA Texas State Coordinator, Ralph Robson, and Don's successor, Timothy Goins and his wife Sally Goins, prayed over Don and Sherry and expressed their thanks with a framed certificate. Don now returns to being a member of his chapter, Spirit Riders #928 CMA of Lytle, Texas!
