Tomorrow, December 11, at 11:00am is our monthly Reconciling Ministries / Methodist Federation for Social Action meeting. We will discuss ways to advocate for LGBTQ persons within the United Methodist Church and in the broader community. Also, we discuss wide-ranging social justice issues. Please bring your ideas about what we as a church can do for justice.

Here is an interview with Anthony Ray Hinton, who was exonerated after being convicted for murder and sentenced to death row in Alabama. Bryan Stevenson was instrumental in getting him released.

Location: Travis Park Church, Room 319
Reconciling Ministries, which works for LGBTQ equality, and MFSA, the Methodist Federation for Social Action, which works for social justice, will meet Sunday, May 8, at 11:15am in Room 319. NOTE that we will meet just a little later, since we are selling Pride Tee-Shirts in the foyer at the front desk. (Feel free to come by to help SELL shirts or to BUY a shirt.) Please attend our meeting in Room 319. We will be discussing our plans for Pride Parade but also what our response should be to threats to reproductive rights, LGBTQ rights, and other issues.
If anyone wishes to buy a shirt, you may do so at any time by going to the Travis Park Church website. Shirts are fifteen dollars. If you wish to pay with cash or a check, come by the front desk in the foyer. (Yes, we can take credit cards, too!) We also accept donations that will help us buy shirts for others. The deadline for shirt orders is May 15!!
