One of our values at Trinity San Antonio is Christian community — being known, loved, and cared for within the family of God.

This past Monday, on Memorial Day, I witnessed a beautiful picture of that community in action. More than ten households were represented as people came together to serve two different families — helping move furniture and boxes, clean floors, paint walls, pack belongings, and carry burdens together.

What made it especially meaningful is that no one had to do it. They could have spent the day relaxing at the lake, staying home, watching TV, or enjoying a day off. Instead, they chose to give their time, energy, and strength to joyfully serve their brothers and sisters in Christ.

That is the kind of life the Holy Spirit produces among God’s people. He forms hearts marked by generosity, love, sacrifice, and joyful service. And moments like these are a beautiful reminder that the Church is not merely a place we attend, but a family in which we care for one another in tangible and Christlike ways.

Five years ago, we hung these lights together and talked about the possibility of the Lord calling David into pastoral ministry. At the time, it was simply a conversation, a prayer, and a sense that God might be doing something.

Now, five years later, David has completed seminary and is preparing to begin his vicarage year. What once felt distant is now becoming reality before our eyes.

One of our core values at Trinity San Antonio is multiplication — the multiplication of disciples, leaders, congregations, and faithful shepherds for Christ’s Church. There is something deeply beautiful about watching the Lord raise up pastors from within a local church family to go and serve His people.

We are grateful to see the Lord continuing to call and send workers into His harvest. And we pray that this would only be the beginning — that God would continue to multiply pastors, missionaries, church planters, and faithful servants through the life of this congregation for generations to come.

Here is your official invitation to join the Church around the world in observing Good Friday, tonight at 6:30pm at Trinity for our Tenebrae Service.

This is one of the most sacred and moving services of the Christian year, as we gather at the foot of the cross to remember the suffering and death of our Lord Jesus Christ for the life of the world.

Nursery care will be provided this evening for crawlers-5 year olds.

We would love for you to join us as we enter into this holy night together.
