⭐️Youth Financial Literacy Workshop Update⭐️
Part two of the Youth Financial Literacy Workshop was a wonderful success! The youth had the opportunity to hear from special guest speaker Marquez Knotts, owner of Southern Mechanical Services HVAC. Mr. Knotts shared his inspiring journey from working for several companies to becoming a successful business owner. He encouraged the youth to identify their strengths and interests as they begin exploring future careers and business opportunities.
Mr. Knotts also emphasized the importance of choosing a strong business name, presenting yourself professionally, providing exceptional customer service by going above and beyond, and committing to lifelong learning through continuing education and training.
As a follow-up assignment, our youth are challenged to create a name for their future business and complete a simple monthly budget based on a $500 allowance. Their budget should include expenses such as school lunches, school supplies, and other everyday necessities, helping them develop practical money management skills.
Scripture Focus:
"Do you see someone skilled in their work? They will serve before kings; they will not serve before officials of low rank." — Proverbs 22:29 (NIV)
We extend our sincere appreciation to Mr. Knotts for investing his time, wisdom, and experience in our youth. We also thank Bro. Frank Dunn, parents, volunteers, and church family for their continued support of our Zion Star Youth. Together, we are equipping our young people with the knowledge, character, and faith they need to become successful Christian leaders. Information regarding the next workshop will be announced at a later date.
May God continue to bless the work of our Youth Ministry as we prepare the next generation for success in both life and faith.
