“Comfort is the drug of this country.”
Phew! One of the most striking reflections from our Missions Sunday panel. What if the thing we spend so much of our lives pursuing is the very thing keeping us from experiencing a deeper dependence on God?

"Discipleship" is one of those words we hear all the time in church—but what does it actually mean for our day-to-day lives?

In our new Re:Vlog episode, our pastors are kicking off our summer series by removing the buzz surrounding the word and grounding us in what it truly means to follow Jesus. Whether "disciple" feels familiar or vague, this series is for anyone looking to grow deeper.

The task isn’t finished.

Jesus’ command to take the Gospel to all nations is still before us, and every follower of Christ has a part to play.

This Sunday is Missions Sunday, and we invite you to join us as we worship, hear powerful stories of God’s work among the nations, and celebrate what He is doing through our church family and around the world.

After the service, visit the missions tables in Unity Hall to meet team members who have served on mission, learn about opportunities, and discover how you can be involved in God’s global mission.

Then join us again at 6:00 PM for Family Missions Night as we continue hearing stories, celebrating God’s faithfulness, and praying for the nations.

Our senior pastor, Chris Johnson, often reminds us that followers of Jesus should be continually practicing repentance, witnessing, and discipleship. Missions sits right at the heart of that calling—living as witnesses of Christ and making disciples wherever God sends us.

Come be encouraged, challenged, and reminded that the Gospel is still advancing, and the mission is not yet complete.

Psalm 93 lifts our eyes above shifting seasons and changing circumstances, reminding us that while much in life moves quickly, the reign of God remains steady, eternal, and unshaken. Whether we are sending students into a new season, stepping into places of mission and service, or simply navigating the uncertainties ahead of us, our confidence rests in the One whose throne has stood firm from the beginning.

As we bring this series to a close and you reflect on this Psalm throughout the week, consider what it means to live courageously and faithfully because the Lord reigns, carrying His presence into classrooms, workplaces, neighborhoods, and nations.

This Sunday, as we celebrate Missions Sunday and pray over our graduating seniors, come ready to worship the King whose rule extends over every future and every calling.

What The Disciples Got Wrong About Jesus In The Storm

What a powerful Pentecost Sunday at FBCSA!

From the moment we gathered in the sanctuary to lift up one voice in united worship, to the incredible joy of celebrating new life through afternoon baptisms, God’s presence was so tangible.
Pentecost reminds us that the same Spirit that moved over 2,000 years ago is still moving, transforming lives, and filling our church today.
What was your favorite moment from our worship and celebration on Sunday?
