Let’s be honest, the enemy stays busy. You wake up and there’s already something trying to steal your peace, your joy, or your confidence in who God says you are. It can feel overwhelming sometimes, like you’re constantly putting out fires.

But remember this: God is never caught off guard. Not once. While the enemy is scheming, God is already ten steps ahead working things together for your good. Romans 8:28 says “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” ALL things. Not just the comfortable ones.

Satan is real and active, but he is also limited. God is not. And that changes everything about how we face our week.

So when something goes sideways and that familiar anxiety or discouragement starts to creep in, pause and say out loud “God is working in this.” Not because everything feels fine, but because you are choosing to trust what is true over what you feel in that moment. Write it on a sticky note, set it as a reminder in your phone, whatever it takes to keep that truth in front of you.

The enemy is doing something. God is doing more. Stand on that today.

In a world full of noise, it takes intention to stay mindful of what this week really means. It is easy to get caught up in everything, even good things, and still miss what matters most.

May our Risen Lord help draw us back to His presence and awaken us to Him.

This can be a busy time, but may we not trade the fullness of God’s Spirit for the fullness of our schedule.

Take five minutes today to pause, get quiet, and simply say, “Lord, here I am.” Let that be enough to bring your focus back to Him.

Have you ever said “I’m hanging on by a thread” and actually meant it? Like, not just as a saying but as a genuine description of your week?

Here’s something wild though. Not all threads are the same. There’s something called rolled thread, which is formed under pressure. That pressure actually creates this strong, compact, almost wave-like structure at its root. It’s literally built to hold. Then there’s cut thread, which is shaped by cutting, and because of that it’s way more vulnerable to fraying and breaking over time.

Now think about your heartbeat for a second. It already moves in that same kind of wave-like rhythm. And Colossians 2:6-7 talks about being rooted and built up in Christ, strengthened and overflowing with thankfulness. When our hearts are rooted in God, something forms deep in us that doesn’t come from life being easy. It comes from being anchored.

So even when you feel like you’re barely holding on, even if it’s down to just one thread, if that thread is rooted in Him, it is so much stronger than you think. But when we drift, when we cut that connection, we become a lot more fragile under pressure.
You don’t have to have it all together. You just have to stay rooted.

So, pick one small way to stay connected. Maybe it’s five minutes in the Word before your phone gets loud. Maybe it’s a honest conversation with God on your drive home. Maybe it’s just showing up to church when you really didn’t feel like it. It doesn’t have to be big. It just has to be intentional. Because roots don’t grow from grand gestures. They grow from small, consistent moments of choosing Him.✨

Shoutout to BUA University! 📣

Every February when we gather in San Antonio for our Girls & Women’s conference, Baptist University of the Americas shows up with an incredible team of student volunteers who serve with such heart and faithfulness. They help make the whole weekend possible, and we are so grateful for them!!!✨

BUA is more than a university, it’s a family away from home. If you’re thinking about college, you should definitely check them out. It’s a Christian accredited university with a strong community and it’s very affordable.
