SUNDAY SERMON RECAP | Daniel 6:12–22

Today we continued through Daniel with the powerful account of Daniel in the lions’ den. Even when faced with a law that threatened his life, Daniel remained faithful to God and continued to pray.

Daniel’s deliverance reminds us that God is faithful and sovereign, even in the midst of suffering and persecution. While Daniel was protected from the lions, we are reminded that our ultimate hope is found in Christ, who delivers us from sin and death through His death and resurrection.

As you reflect on today’s Scripture, consider:

1. How do I respond when my faith is tested?
2. What does Daniel’s example teach me about prayer and trusting God?
3. Where do I need to place my fears and circumstances into God’s hands?

May God strengthen our faith, keep us steadfast in His Word, and remind us that our hope is always in Christ.

At the end of the month, our Shepherd Youth Group will deliver the books to University Health System to be shared with children and families there.

What a special chapel service! We had the joy of presenting our Anchored in Christ Awards to students who demonstrate the fruits of the Spirit in their daily lives.

We are so blessed by this wonderful group of students and their hearts for the Lord! We are thankful for the ways they shine Christ’s love throughout our school community.
