Summer is here, and so are we.⁠

Children's Church Service is running through the summer during the 11 AM service, and VBS registration is now open for July 7 - 10 (visit linkin.bio/sunsetridgechurch to sign up). ⁠
⁠
A few office closures to note—we'll be closed for Juneteenth on June 19th and Independence Day on July 3rd. And coming up on June 21st, we'd love to celebrate the dads in our community with you.⁠

Kids are always welcome in our services—and this Sunday is extra special.⁠

It's 5th Sunday, which means Roots children's ministry will join us in the Sanctuary for worship together. The nursery will remain open, and we'll still offer a class for Pre-K and Kindergarten for families who prefer it.⁠
⁠
And while you're here—keep an eye out for the sketchbooks tucked in the pews during the 11 AM service. All are welcome to create in them. We've gathered some of the artwork into a gallery we're calling Views from the Pews. Find them on display in the hallway leading to the Fellowship Hall.⁠

That’s the kind of community we aim to be. And it’s the kind that transforms not just ourselves, but the neighbors right next to us. That’s what it looks like to follow Jesus, reach people, and radiate God’s love and hope to all.

Easter Sunday was something we won’t soon forget. 🌿⁠

Familiar and new faces gathered over brunch. Three large crosses crafted by our children, each one a small and beautiful act of worship. The sanctuary filled—all the way up into the balcony—more than we’ve ever seen. Communion together. And then baptisms—that sacred, joyful moment when the whole congregation gets to witness someone stepping into new life.⁠

It was a lot to hold. In the best possible way.⁠

Where do you go when things get hard?

But Jesus offers a different path—not escape, but leaning in. And he doesn’t just leave us with the challenge. He gives us things to practice so that when hard moments come, we’re ready to rise.
