Baruch Eloheinu Community — Tisha B’Av Reflection
May our lives bring nachas to Hashem and His nation
Tisha B’Av is the day when Am Yisrael sits low, remembers the wounds of our history, and refuses to rush past the grief that still shapes our story. It is the day we read Eichah, recite Kinnot, and join the generations of Aveilei Tzion who carried Jerusalem’s sorrow as their own.
But inside the ashes, our tradition teaches something deeper:
the light of redemption is hidden within the very place of ruin.
The seed of Mashiach is sown in the darkest soil.
The comfort (× ×—×ž×”) is already waiting inside the mourning.
Our community enters this day with three strands woven together:
- — We sit low, restrict joy, and let the structure of the day hold our grief honestly. We examine our hearts for any trace of sinat chinam and commit to repairing what stands between us.
- — We remember that the Shechinah’s concealment is not absence. The sparks of holiness hide in the lowest places, waiting for those willing to bend down and gather them.
- — We remember the Weeping Messiah, Yeshua, who cried over Jerusalem before its destruction and bore in his own body the shame, mockery, and desolation that would soon fall upon the city. His tears are the first tears of Tisha B’Av.
And so, as Baruch Eloheinu Community, we choose to love Hashem’s city, Hashem’s people, and Hashem’s hope all the way through the dark.
We sit low.
We listen deeply.
We mend what needs mending.
We remember what Messiah carried for us.
And when the fast breaks, we rise together and raise the light of nachama, declaring the promise of Zechariah 8:19 — that this fast will become joy and gladness for Judah.
Because Love Lives Here —
even in the ashes,
especially in the ashes,
where the hidden light is already waiting.
Shine bright throughout your days beloved of Hashem.
