Good morning and Happy Easter!

As many of you are now aware, River City mall parking has been updated to an electronic app. There is a new method to get your parking validated for Mass.

The easiest way to do this, is to download the parking app to your phone (follow the instructions when you pull in) and create an account. An usher (or someone else) will have a QR code you can scan to validate your parking after Mass.

If you get a ticket, take a picture of your ticket and scan the QR code.

***NOTE: Your account can be validated only AFTER Mass. The system needs time to upload your information.

Today Fr. Mark said his last Mass with us, accompanied by the San Antonio Liederkranz, and officially welcomed incoming Fr. Arul.

Welcome Fr. Arul!
Fr. Arul Tharcius Dhairiam comes from the Diocese of Tamil Nadu, a state in the south of India.

We will miss you Fr Mark!
Fr. Mark will take a short break to visit family and friends, before his reassignment.

Blessings and Godspeed.

WE ARE GETTING REPAIRS!

Starting January 8, 2024, scaffolding will be assembled
in front of the Church to repair the bell tower. The parking lot will be used to store construction material and therefore closed for parking and to the public, except on the weekends. All but one lane of Commerce will be closed in front of St Joseph's for 5 weeks. Repairs will take roughly3 to 4 months to complete. The front door will be closed, but you will be able to enter through the side door. Parking is available at the Rivercenter and the Ushers will validate your parking ticket for 2 hours. For your safety and due to insurance requirements, do NOT remove the orange cones or attempt to park in the church parking lot.

Today we celebrated La Virgen de Guadalupe a bit early, starting with remembering Las Guadalupanas during Mass and celebrating afterwards with tamales and cake. These ladies do so much for Saint Joseph's, from tending to our plants, making and selling tacos for fundraisers, to keeping the Fathers in line 😜. God bless you always!

In teaching that Mary was conceived immaculate, the Catholic Church teaches that from the very moment of her conception, the Blessed Virgin Mary was free from all stain of original sin. This simply means that from the beginning, she was in a state of grace, sharing in God's own life, and that she was free from the sinful inclinations which have beset human nature after the fall.
