We are saddened at the passing of Rev Robert Ganaway, former pastor and long time fill in/interim pastor at various times. He had moved to Fort Worth a few years ago. A memorial service will be planned at a later time.

It has been posted on the page of Paul and Suzy Hull that Pastor Paul Hull has passed to his eternal home with Jesus. Pastor Hull was a former pastor of Resurgent many years ago when it was called Alliance Bible Church.

It is with a heavy heart that we will be closing Resurgent at the end of the month. It has been a hard journey with many lessons learned.

We will be having a closing meal together on Sunday, August 28th at Resurgent after our 11 am service and invite anyone who has ever been associated with Alliance Bible Church or Resurgent to come even if you are only able to come for the meal. We are at a loss as to find a complete list of those who have been part of our family in our 50 year (almost to the month) time together. Please know you are welcome if no one personally contacts you. Come!! Everyone who has been a part of this church family was part our life.

Please share this information with anyone and everyone. We only request that you RSVP so we will have enough chairs and food. (The place may be pretty bare and we will need to know what to keep until the last day)

The contents of the church become property of the district, but if there is some small item that you are interested in having, please let us know. It may or may not still be there.

UPDATED SEPTEMBER 10:

For the last two weeks, Resurgent has been hosting the Center for Refugee Services Welcome Center for the welcoming of refugees into San Antonio. There has been an overwhelming response by the people of San Antonio to both donate needed items and volunteer to sort them. We are grateful that our shelves are full and we are ready to provide needed items.

Resurgent will no longer be open to accept donations after Tuesday, September 14. Please check the 'Center for Refugee Services' page for frequent updates on the welcome process and PM that page with questions.

Resurgent hosted this annual coat drive this week.

The Center for Refugee Services will distribute winter coats to refugee families on Friday at Resurgent Church on Fredericksburg Road.
