Our sister, Julia Davila, passed away on August 11, 2026. She was the granddaughter of Pastor Eusebio Bernal, who pastored the Ceralvo St. Church for many years.

She frequently visited the Ceralvo St. Church, calling it her home as well. She will be greatly missed for her kindness and love for God’s family. Until we meet again, that is our prayer.

Our sincere condolences to the Davila family and friends. May the Lord comfort you all during this time.

Rainforest Falls VBS 2026! 🌴

What a beautiful way to celebrate the end of our Rainforest Falls VBS! We were blessed to have our children share what they learned during their VBS presentation this past Saturday afternoon.

Although our VBS was delayed this summer, we praise God that He made a way for us to still have VBS! It was such a joy to see the children learn, participate, laugh, and most importantly, grow in their knowledge of God.

A heartfelt thank you to all of our parents for allowing your children to participate, and a very special thank you to each of our volunteers who gave their time, energy, and love to teach and serve our children throughout the week. We are also incredibly grateful to everyone who donated food, materials, and financial support to help make VBS possible. Your generosity made a difference!

Our prayer is that the excitement and love our children experienced during VBS will continue throughout the year. We encourage parents to keep bringing your children to our Sabbath School Children's Classes at 10:00 AM and our Children's Ministry classes at 3:00 PM each Sabbath. We would love to have your family join us!

At the close of our service, our pastor also had the opportunity to pray over our children as they return to school this week. We want to continue covering our children in prayer and asking God to protect them, guide them, give them wisdom, and help them shine His light wherever they go.

“For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.” — Psalm 91:11

Important: If you plan to attend the burial, please meet us at Sunset Memorial Park by 1:15 p.m. There will not be a funeral procession. Sunset Memorial staff will direct vehicles to the graveside. Please look for the sign with Manuel's name.

In lieu of flowers, we kindly ask that you consider a living plant, which the family can cherish in remembrance of Manuel. Manuel and his family have always loved plants and the beauty of God's creation.

We also wanted to let everyone know that Sunset Memorial Park does not allow funeral flowers to remain at the gravesite after the services for that long, which is why we are making this request.

If you would prefer, memorial donations may also be made to the Church of God (Seventh Day), a ministry that Manuel faithfully loved and served for many years.

What a beautiful and blessed Sabbath we shared together as the San Antonio Church of God (Seventh Day) family.

As we gathered to worship our Lord and Savior and rest in the blessing of His holy Sabbath, we also found comfort, strength, and hope in one another as we mourn the loss of our beloved brother, Manuel Salazar. Our hearts were reminded that God designed the Sabbath not only as a day of worship and rest, but also as a time for His people to come together, encourage one another, and be uplifted by His promises.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, prayed with us, and surrounded our church family with such love. May God continue to bless each of you, and Sabbath blessings to all.

With deep sorrow, the General Conference of the Church of God (Seventh Day) announces the passing of our beloved brother, SWD Area 5 Director Manuel Salazar of San Antonio, Texas.

We give thanks to God for Brother Salazar’s life, his faithful service, and leadership in the Southwest District. His love for the Lord, his commitment to the church, and his example of faith have been a blessing to many, and his legacy will remain in the hearts of those who knew and served alongside him.

We humbly ask our entire church family to keep the Salazar family in your prayers. May the Lord strengthen them, surround them with His peace, and comfort them with the hope found in His Word:

“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.”
— 1 Thessalonians 4:16

Damos gracias a Dios por la vida del hermano Salazar, por su servicio fiel y por su liderazgo en el Distrito Suroeste. Su amor por el Señor, su compromiso con la iglesia y su ejemplo de fe han sido una bendición para muchos, y su legado perdurará en los corazones de quienes le conocieron y sirvieron junto a él.
