Emmanuel Church

Emmanuel Church Established congregation serving the Lord with gladness and passionately reaching the lost for Christ. This Ministry was started by Pastor Ignacio E.

Romo and his wife Pastor Tavita S. Romo in September of 1977. They started having services in their home and after a year moved over to a small house on Rivas St located on the West Side of San Antonio. Shortly after that they outgrew the home and were blessed to find a small abandoned church a few blocks from where they were already meeting. They bought the property and with great joy began the p

rocess of repairing the dilapidated building and shorty afterwards they began their services where they are to this day. In March of 2005, Pastor Ignacio Romo went to be with the Lord. His wife Rev. Tavita Romo continued as Pastor until April of 2018 when she went home to be with the Lord. Currently, Brother Richard Romo and his wife Alejandra are now serving as Pastors. San Antonio is blessed to have so many wonderful churches throughout the city and we are doubly blessed to be counted among them. We are located in one of the most challenging sides of town. We see ourselves as the "ER" for the souls that are hurting and we welcome them to experience the love of God here in our humble church.
