Salam Alaikum Dear Brothers and Sisters,

As we are mourning and commemorating our master Imam Hussain (A.S), Afghanistan yet again is in a human-crises. Innocent people are leaving their homes and fleeing from their towns to save their lives. Extremists are attacking children and women. The images are severely disturbing and should ache the heart of any believer. As Shias we must raise our voice, help and pray for our brothers and sisters in Afghanistan. Let us remember Afghanistan these nights specially when your tears are shed.

Salam Alaikum dear brothers and sisters,

**Programs now start at 8:15PM with Ziyarat e Ashura, inshallaha'tala**

With the blessings of Allah SWT and Masoomeen (A.S), IEC-SA will start Muharram programs this Monday, August 9th.

This year we are honored to have a special guest scholar, Sheikh Mujtaba Khaliq for the first ten days of Muharram.
Programs will start with prayers at about 8:30 pm every night.

All community members are invited to attend programs, either in-person or online, and benefit from this opportunity, Inshallah.

The moon has been sighted, tomorrow will be the first day of Shawwal and the day of Eid.

HSAT and IEC-SA will have Salat Eid al-fitr tomorrow at IEC-SA Inshallah.

After Salah, the winners of Ramadan Quran Competition will be announced and the winners will receive their rewards! ✨

Asalaam Alaikum Dear Brothers and Sisters,

The Night of Qadr has arrived and Alhamdulillah we are open to commemorate these nights, pray together as the Prophet (peace be upon Him and His family) said: "The hand of Allah SWT is with the congregation", and mourn for one of the greatest loss of Muslims the martyrdom of the commander of the faithful.
In addition to these divine events, we will be having Majaleses every night till the last night of Qadr Inshallah.

The program starts at 7:30pm with Quran Recitation, Salah, Speech, Dua, and Iftaar.

The Night of Qadr (4/30, 5/2, 5/4) will include Short Amal, Break, and Long Amal.

We are extremely grateful to our beloved Allah SWT for giving us another opportunity to experience the holy month of Ramadan.

The Center has reopened for the holy month of Ramadan every week from Thursday to Saturday. Program starts at 7:30pm with Quran Recitation, Salah, Speech, Dua and Iftaar.

Salam Alaikum dear brothers and sisters,

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&HF): The Messenger of Allah (blessings of Allah be upon him and his family) has said: “The number of levels (stages) in Heaven is (equivalent to) the number of verses in the Qur’an(62:36). Thus, when a reciter of the Qur’an enters into Heaven, it will be said to him: ‘Go up one level for every verse that you can recite.’ Thus, no one will be in a higher level than the one who has memorized the entire Qur’an.”

We are happy to announce our Annual Ramadan Quran Competition for our Shia San Antonio Community.

Please see grade-appropriate Surahs below:

- Pre-K and KG: Memorization of Surahs Ikhlas, Kauthar, Nas, Falaq.
- Intermediate: Memorization of Surahs Kafiroon, Feel, Ikhlas, Teen, Falaq, Nas, Hamd, Asr and Qadr.
- Advance: Recitation of Surah Al-Insan.
The Judge will ask randomly from the above surahs, so the students must memorize and prepare for all surahs in their respective categories.

Please note, registration is required to be completed by Sunday, April 18.
