She had a handful of meal and a little oil — the last meal before she and her son died. The prophet asked for it first.

Obedience came before the provision. It always does.

Apostle Dr. Tacoma R. Anderson at Anchored SA — The San Antonio Community Church.

Monday.

Most people do not lose their faith on a Sunday. They lose it on a Monday, quietly, in a building where nobody knows they believe anything.

So a word for the workweek.

"And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men." - Colossians 3:23, KJV

That verse is not asking you to enjoy your job. It is relocating your audience.

The spreadsheet is worship. The route is worship. The classroom, the shift, the truck, the counter - all of it is done in front of Someone who is not grading you on your title.

You do not have to feel spiritual to be faithful. You have to show up and do it well because of who is watching.

Go handle your week.

Church today.

If you have been out a while and you are reading this on a Sunday morning, that is not an accident.

Eastside San Antonio. Come as you are - honest, not assembled.

He went all the way down so there would be no floor low enough to lose you.

"Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant" — Philippians 2:6-7 (KJV)

Wherever you are today, He has already been lower.

Sunday at Anchored SA - San Antonio Community Church.

We are a church for people who have questions and have been punished for asking them.

That is not a marketing line. It is the assignment.

Here is what we hold. Scripture is the final authority - not tradition, not personality, not the loudest voice in the building. Healing is not a detour from discipleship; a wounded man cannot lead a healthy house and pretending otherwise is how we got here. And honesty is a spiritual discipline: if you cannot say the true thing in the house of God, you will say it somewhere worse.

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." - Matthew 11:28, KJV

Eastside San Antonio. Doors open. Bring the questions.

God's first response to a burned-out prophet was not a sermon.

It was a meal and a nap.

"Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee." - 1 Kings 19:7, KJV

Rest is obedience too.

In a bustling town, there was a little girl named Mia who had a heart full of dreams. Every night, she would gaze out of her window, captivated by the stars twinkling like tiny diamonds in the vast sky. She often wished she could capture that brightness and share it with everyone around her. One day, while exploring her favorite store, Mia discovered a collection of luminous products—from enchanting night lights to glowing art pieces. Inspired, she decided to turn her room into a radiant sanctuary, filling it with glowing treasures that not only lit up her space but also her heart.

Soon, her friends were drawn to her room, enchanted by its magical glow. They shared laughter, stories, and dreams under the warm light, creating treasured memories. Mia realized that the beauty of these luminous items was not just in their glow but in the way they brought people together, illuminating both the room and their hearts.

Embrace the light in your life and create your own radiant space, just like Mia.

"A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps." — Proverbs 16:9, KJV

You drew the map. He ordered the steps.

Something I have to say to the people serving in this house and in every house like it.

Burnout in ministry is rarely caused by the work. It is caused by doing the work without permission to be human while you do it.

Elijah called down fire on Mount Carmel and then, one chapter later, sat under a juniper tree and asked God to take his life.

"But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die." - 1 Kings 19:4, KJV

Watch what God did not do. He did not rebuke him. He did not remind him of the fire. He fed him, let him sleep, fed him again, and then spoke - and not in the wind or the earthquake or the fire, but in a still small voice.

Food. Rest. Then conversation.

If you are serving on empty, God's first instruction to you may not be spiritual. It may be to eat something and go to bed.

You are not bad at prayer.

You have been starting at the request instead of at the relationship.

"Our Father which art in heaven" - Matthew 6:9, KJV
