Celebrating an incredible legacy & new chapter! ⭐️

After a storied and successful history building San Antonio Threads, founder Cathy Hamilton has announced her retirement this year in 2026. What began as a dedicated movement to restore a sense of worth to overlooked youth has experienced exponential growth over the years. As of May 2026, San Antonio Threads has served an incredible cumulative total of 100,000 youth!

As Cathy transitions into retirement, R3 Generations is taking the helm to steward her profound legacy and carry forward the vital vision of dignity restoration.

This milestone marks the natural culmination of a seven-year journey together. Having officially co-located at the start of 2026, the two organizations have created a unified "one-stop-shop" sanctuary where youth can access education, mentorship, and brand-new clothing all under a single roof.

So, what lies ahead for the R3 Generations- SA Threads program? Threads will continue to live on and relentlessly serve the youth of San Antonio. And R3 carries forward the prayer and vision to expand this incredible model all over the United States.

Over the month of May we have had the opportunity and privilege to partner with Family Services!

Through multiple sessions we have been able to provide job readiness and resume building skills to over 100 high school youth. We look forward to this continued partnership that has continued year after year.

We are incredibly honored to celebrate seven years of R3 Student Outreach. This journey has truly been a march—one requiring immense discipline and endurance—but the impact has been greater than we ever imagined. To date, we have been blessed to serve over 10,000 youth and 2,500 families in our community.

We recognize that it is only by God’s grace, and through the dedication of our staff and partners, that we have reached this milestone. Today, we celebrate this completion and prepare to move forward into a new and exciting season of growth.

We are honored to celebrate a significant milestone at the R3 & Juliette Fowler Communities Youth Support Center. This week, we hosted our largest Dallas graduation to date, recognizing the incredible achievements of seven resilient young leaders.

We were moved to see friends, family, and community partners gather to fill the room with support.

Throughout the ceremony, we focused on a powerful theme: the understanding that while pain is often a necessary part of growth, it ultimately produces the endurance and strength required to step into new beginnings.

We remain steadfast in our mission and look forward to the bright futures ahead for both these students and our organization.

Today at City Hall, our Executive Director Juan Ramos spoke in support of a CCR initiated by for
new pilot program designed to mend the gap between at-risk youth and gainful employment.

At R3, we see the human faces behind these statistics every day. We know that increasing internship opportunities for at-risk youth yields results like reduced youth violence, lower crime rates, and improved work-readiness.

It’s time to move beyond traditional barriers and invest in the untapped potential of our future leaders. San Antonio is ready to set a national example.

Mihai combines executive expertise with a deep commitment to modernizing mission-driven organizations worldwide. 🚀

Over the past month he has assisted our Executive Director with Grant Proposal Development and saved us $1,550 in development funds! THANK YOU Mihai for your invaluable work and commitment to serving youth and young adults.
