A sweet and very dear Harriett student from summer church camp past, sent this this to me today. Ten years!
Many of these precious souls are walking with Jesus. Many are local and others are scattered throughout Texas a few are scattered though out the US states. A handful live overseas. They are teachers, and farmers, ranchers, doctors, nurses, engineers and architects, pilots, and parents, etc.
I’ve been in youth ministry nearly 40 years and I’m only 29😅😬😂. I’ve served usually, as layperson in the wings/background and often wondered,
“Is this place, this ministry making a difference, am I ?”
Our we making dent in the Kingdom of heaven at all?” The answer is yes. Even in a teeny place where God allows me to serve. And it’s not because of us, but because God is faithful. He calls us, and he’s good. He calls us out,”upon the waters” to love him and love others.
To the student who sent this, thank you for the reminder and the encouragement.
