Through God Comes Justice Ministries, Inc (Jail Ministry) wishes you a very Happy Labor Day!

May God bless the work of your hands, strengthen you when you are weary, and give you peace in every season. May He open doors of opportunity, provide for every need, and remind you that your labor is never in vain.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” Colossians 3:23

On this Labor Day, may you find time to rest, be grateful for how far God has brought you, and trust Him with what lies ahead.

“May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us, yes, establish the work of our hands.” Psalm 90:17

May God bless you, your family, and the work of your hands today and always. Happy Labor Day!

💙 Honoring a Legacy. Investing in the Next Generation. 💙

Today was a very special day for Through God Comes Justice Ministries, Inc (Jail Ministry) as we presented the very first Sheriff David Jones Memorial Scholarship to Camarin Miller.

This scholarship was created in memory of a man who meant so much to the Ministry and to this community. Sheriff David Jones was a longtime supporter of TGCJ Ministry, but his heart reached far beyond. He loved this community, he loved its people, and he dedicated his life to serving them.

Sheriff Jones also understood something that is at the heart of what we do every day: incarceration does not affect only the person inside the jail. Its impact reaches children, families, and the community.

We wanted to honor his memory in a way that reflected his heart for people while also giving a young person encouragement and hope for the future.

Today, we had the privilege of doing just that.

🎓 Camarin Miller is the first recipient of the Sheriff David Jones Memorial Scholarship and received a $500 scholarship as she begins her journey at Angelo State University.

Camarin's testimony touched our hearts, as did her determination to continue her education and keep moving forward. We are so proud to be able to encourage her as she begins this next chapter.

This year, the scholarship was awarded directly through Through God Comes Justice Ministries. Earlier this year, we established the Sheriff David Jones Memorial Scholarship Fund through the San Angelo Area Foundation, and beginning with the 2027–2028 school year, the scholarship will be awarded in partnership with the Foundation so that Sheriff Jones' legacy can continue touching the lives of young people for years to come.

Today was about more than presenting a scholarship check.

It was about remembering a life of service, celebrating a young woman's future, and carrying a legacy forward.

We are also so grateful for those who helped make this moment even more meaningful. Thank you to the members of our Board of Directors, the Tom Green County Jail Admin and Staff, and especially Pamela Jones, for being there as we celebrated Camarin and honored Sheriff Jones' memory and legacy. We are equally grateful to Sheriff Hanna for his continued support, encouragement, and love. It means so much to have the support of those who understand what this scholarship represents and the legacy it will carry forward.

We are grateful to KLST/KSAN for joining us today and helping us share this special story with our community.

📺 Tune in to KLST today at 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to see the story!

And as we celebrate today, we are reminded of God's Word:

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9

Congratulations, Camarin! ❤️ We pray that God guides your steps, opens doors before you, and blesses you greatly as you begin this new journey.

Sheriff Jones' service may have ended, but the seeds he planted and the difference he made continue to bear fruit.

To God be the glory for the opportunity to continue sowing into the lives of the next generation. 🙏

Through God Comes Justice Ministries, Inc (Jail Ministry) we are so grateful for all God did at the Back-to-School Pool Party last Thursday, July 30th. As we look back on the evening, we are reminded that ministry is never accomplished by one person or one organization. It is made possible by God's faithfulness and by people who are willing to say "yes" to serving others.

Because of the generosity of so many people and organizations, children and families impacted by incarceration were able to enjoy an evening filled with fun, laughter, encouragement, and hope. They received school supplies, shoe vouchers, great food, wonderful fellowship, and, most importantly, the love of Jesus.

Over the past year, God has abundantly blessed TGCJ Ministry in ways that continue to humble us. Through His provision and the generosity of those He has brought alongside us, we have been able to do even more for the families we serve than ever before. We never want to take that for granted or claim the credit. Every opportunity, every resource, and every blessing comes from Him. We are simply thankful to be faithful stewards of what He has entrusted to us.

With grateful hearts, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this special evening possible.

Thank you to , , and for your generous support and for helping us bless the families we serve.

Thank you to Fresh Start Ministries, Southland Baptist Church, Glen Meadows Baptist Church, and our many anonymous supporters for investing in these children and helping make this event such a success.

Thank you to Concho Valley Turning Point for always partnering with us and helping provide for our families.

Thank you to the and the incredible lifeguards for welcoming our families and providing a safe place for everyone to enjoy the evening.

Thank you to the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office - Texas and the deputies who came out to support this event and spend time with our families. Your presence and encouragement meant more than you know.

To our Board of Directors and our incredible ...thank you! From preparing registration packets, organizing shoe vouchers, setting up, serving, checking families in, handing out supplies, cleaning up, and simply loving on every child and caregiver you met, you truly demonstrated the hands and feet of Christ. This Ministry simply could not do what it does without each of you.

Most of all, we give all glory, honor, and praise to God. Thank You, Lord, for opening every door, providing every need, bringing together so many willing hearts, and allowing us the privilege of serving these precious families. We pray that every child and caregiver who attended left knowing they are loved, valued, and never forgotten.

Thank you to everyone who helped us make this evening one filled with hope, joy, and lasting memories. We are thankful beyond words for each of you.

"And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work." 2 Corinthians 9:8

A big shout out to two of our amazing volunteers, Star and Elaine, for representing at Homeless Navigation Days held Tuesday July 28th at First Presbyterian Church!

Several months a year, our Staff, Board Members, and our incredible Volunteers faithfully serve alongside other community members by offering encouragement, Prayer, Bibles, Christian literature, hygiene items, and a listening ear to those experiencing homelessness. Sometimes the greatest gift we can give is simply taking the time to let someone know they are seen, valued, and loved by God.

Star and Elaine, thank you for your servant hearts and for being the hands and feet of Jesus. Your willingness to serve our community reflects the love and compassion of Christ, and we are so grateful for the time you invest in sharing hope with others.

We are blessed to have volunteers who are willing to serve not only Within the Walls, but also Within the Families and Within the Community.

"Carry each other's burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ." Galatians 6:2

Through God Comes Justice Ministries, Inc (Jail Ministry) we want to say thank you so much to St Joseph Catholic Church for graciously hosting our volunteer meeting this past Monday evening!

We are so grateful for your warm hospitality, the delicious meal, and the wonderful time of fellowship. Thank you for opening your doors and blessing the Ministry in such a meaningful way.

A special thank you also goes to Concho Valley Turning Point for generously donating the snacks for our upcoming Back-to-School Pool Party. Your continued partnership helps make this outreach such a special experience for the children and families we serve.

And to our incredible volunteers, thank you for showing up and showing out! Together, we assembled snack bags for every child who will attend the Pool Party, another reminder of what God can accomplish when His people serve together with willing hearts.

Our monthly volunteer meetings are more than just a time to prepare for upcoming events and go over Ministry news. They are a time of encouragement, fellowship, prayer, and celebrating all that God is doing Within the Walls, Within the Families, and Within the Community.

To , , and who gave of your time and talents, thank you for being an important part of this Ministry. We appreciate each of you more than words can express!
