We are surrounded by the darkness of this world, and the enemy would have us to believe that our light means nothing.
But no matter how great the darkness may be, when light shines it becomes the center of attention!
So arise and shine! Let your little light shine!
Let the Love of Jesus Christ, shine forth from your heart’s this day!!

Beloved,
To be perfectly honest this verse has caused me some confusion, especially when I was younger and the thrill of living life was new and exciting!
I thought I could understand why those whose bodies were suffering from the wear and tear of life, look forward to death!
And perhaps if we live long enough that will be true for all of us!
But I believe the real reason for those who have placed their faith and trust in Jesus Christ, the answer is love!
When someone starts a new job or career with the purpose of providing for the needs of their family, there is the thrill of learning new things. The accomplishment of learning and performing new and exciting task seem to give purpose to one’s life!
But dear friends, sooner or later no matter the accomplishments, or the achievements, or what the titles may be, or the financial reward, it is still work!
It is love that gives one the strength to press on and endure the struggles of the workplace.
But it is also love that allows one to joyfully clock out at the end of the day.
For the real joy of life is not found in the work place, but rather being with those that we love!
So, let us each enjoy the thrill of working for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in this life!
Oh, but what joy awaits all of those who love our Lord, when it is time to go home!

~~ The tallest tree in Wales had been damaged by a storm and was supposed to be cut down, but chainsaw artist Simon O'Rourke - Tree Carving found a better solution to symbolize the tree's last attempt to reach the sky.
