The Foundations of West Shores Baptist Church
Of the True God
We believe there is one, and only one, living and true God, an infinite, intelligent Spirit, the Maker and Supreme Ruler of heaven and earth, inexpressibly glorious in holiness and worthy of all possible honor, confidence and love; and that in the unity of the Godhead there are three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit,
equal in every divine perfection, and executing distinct, but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption. Exodus 20:2-3, Psalm 83:18, John 14:7-11, Revelation 1:8
Of the Bible:
We believe the Holy Bible was written by men supernaturally inspired; that it has truth for its matter without any admixture of error; that it is and shall remain to the end of the age, the only complete and final revelation of the will of God to man; and that it is the true center of Christian union, and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and opinions should be tried.
We believe the Authorized (King James) Version, Old and New Testaments, is the Word of God kept intact for English-speaking peoples by way of God’s divine providence and work of preservation; and that the Authorized Version translators were not “inspired”, but were merely God’s instruments used to preserve His words for English-speaking peoples. West Shores Baptist Church was founded in the belief that communities must learn to help themselves. Our work is founded on the following five pillars of faith:
A duty to reach out to the less fortunate
An obligation to lead by example
An all-inclusive approach: We help everyone regardless of their religious beliefs
Acceptance of the fact that we, too, may someday require assistance in our time of need
