June 12, 1744: David Brainerd, missionary to the New England Indians, is ordained by the Presbyterian Church. Within the next three years, he enjoyed success in his missionary efforts, but he died of tuberculosis at age 29.

I just wanted to share Psalm 62:5–7 (NASB 1995):

5 My soul, wait in silence for God only,
For my hope is from Him.

6 He only is my rock and my salvation,
My stronghold; I shall not be shaken.

7 On God my salvation and my glory rest;
The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God.

This passage is a gentle invitation for me to rest my heart in the One who is not shaken by any of my burdens. He remains my rock, even on the days when I feel weary.

“My Hope is from Him!” ♥️
“He alone” 🙌
