Weaver Cemetery Association TX

We wanted to update everyone on the continued work in cleaning and clearing the cemetery. Over the last year we have:

Built a new rod iron fence & gates on the front.
Brush hogged the outside perimeter of the property.
Cleared fence lines ( still in progress).
Sprayed fence lines with w**d killer.
Limb and tree removal.
Repair and extended the back driveway.

We still have a few more things to do, like burning the brush piles and continuing the clearingof the fence line, but we are pleased with the progress.

With sadness, we announce that Gary Ross, treasurer and trustee of the Weaver Cemetery Association, has passed away. Gary was the epitome of a servant leader. He was pivotal in the construction of our veterans memorial and, in the last year, headed up our beautification efforts for the cemetery. He will be greatly missed by not only our association but also the Weaver community. Condolences to his wife, Cheree, and his family.

The Memorial Day will be at the Weaver Baptist Church Gymnasium on June 2 at 1PM. Lunch will still be served.

The annual Memorial Day and annual meeting will be Sunday June 2ND at 11.00 We will meet in the cemetery by the Veterans memorial for our program/annual business meeting. We will have lunch afterwards by the flag pole. Lunch will be provided by the Cemetery Association. Hope you can join us for food, fellowship, and memories!

With sadness in our hearts we announce that the Vice-President of Weaver Cemetery Association board of trustees has passed away!! We send our heartfelt prayers an condolences to his family!! He was the driving force behind the construction of our Veterans Memorial and many other efforts for the cemetery!! He will be greatly missed by all of us!! Gods speed soldier!! Well done good an faithful servant!!

Memorial Day will be on June 5th at 11:00 AM at the Cemetery. We will have chairs set up in front of the Veterans Memorial for the program and business meeting. Following that lunch will be provided and we will have tables set up in the cemetery or across the street at the park. Tea, water and dessert will also be furnished.
