Dear fellow lovers of the camp,
The commercial stove in the kitchen at the Church Camp is not working. It is very old and replacement parts are no longer available making it necessary to replace the stove. The stove would be used to cook meals during camp. It would also be used to prepare meals during the Association meetings. It would also be available for church retreats. The new stove will cost approximately $10,000.
If many of us join together to give, we could have this stove in time for the Spring Retreat. If you wish to make a donation, make the check out to the United Baptist Sunday School Convention and mark the memo line : new stove. All donations should be mailed to Sister Joetta Butcher, the Sunday School Convention’s Treasurer. Her address is: Joetta Butcher, Box 259, Verdunville, WV, 25649.
There are several other upcoming needed repairs. Many of the roofs are in need of replacement and the AC unit in the cafeteria possibly will soon need replaced. Any money received for the stove above the actual cost will be used for the Roofing Fund or for the Cafeteria’s AC.
May we use our finances to bless the camp as the Lord has blessed us through the camp.
