Elder Bednar teaches that lasting change often begins long before our circumstances shift—it begins with our attitude. The way we choose to see our challenges can either limit us or lift us.

A faithful attitude invites light, revelation, and strength. When we stop reacting with frustration and start responding with faith, we open ourselves to the Lord’s power. We begin to see His hand in moments we once overlooked.

We may not control everything around us, but we can always choose the spirit within us.
Change your attitude—and watch how the Lord changes your life.

President Uchtdorf gently reminds us that everyone we meet is carrying a story we cannot fully see. We are all learning, growing, and trying our best—often in quiet, unseen ways.

To be patient with one another is to see others the way Christ sees them: with compassion, understanding, and hope. It means giving room for mistakes, offering grace instead of judgment, and believing that people can change through the Savior’s power.

When we choose patience, we choose love.
And when we choose love, we draw closer to Christ and to each other.

Elder Holland reminds us that the Savior’s call to “become as a little child” is an invitation to return to purity, trust, and humility. Children don’t overcomplicate faith—they simply believe. They forgive quickly. They love easily. They rely on those who care for them.

In a world that often makes our hearts hard, Elder Holland teaches that Christ asks us to soften—to trust Him the way a child trusts a loving parent. When we let go of pride, fear, and the need to control everything, we make room for miracles.

May we choose today to be more meek, more gentle, more believing.
Because when we become as a little child, we come closer to Christ.

There are moments in our lives when the Savior’s invitation feels especially personal: “Draw near unto me and I will draw near unto you.”

President Henry B. Eyring has often reminded us that the Lord’s promise is sure—He will meet us where we are, even if we feel weak, weary, or inadequate. The Savior does not ask for perfection. He asks for a willing heart.

As we turn to Him—through prayer spoken with real intent, through quiet acts of service, through repentance that softens our soul—we begin to feel His presence more clearly. Little by little, we discover that He has been walking with us far longer than we realized.

President Eyring taught that the moments when we feel prompted to do good are evidence that the Lord is reaching out to us. When we follow those promptings, even in small ways, our hearts change. Our faith grows. Our trust deepens.

And then, one day, we look back and realize:
We have drawn nearer to Him, and He truly has drawn nearer to us.

If you feel far from God today, remember—He is not far from you.
Take one small step toward Him.
He will take countless steps toward you in return.

“I have spoken of the many mortal helps our loving Father in Heaven has given to help His children return to Him. Our part in this divine plan is to trust in God and seek and use these divine helps, most notably the Atonement of His Beloved Son, our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ. I pray that we will teach and live these principles.”

— President Dallin H. Oaks, first counselor in the First Presidency, “Divine Helps for Mortality”
