Thankful for 30+ adults who attended the first of 2 special interest meetings for Gospel Fellowship Church. Let us know if you know of other Christians who live in Eagle Mountain or Saratoga Springs or are interested in moving there. Gospel Hope is doing a wonderful job of sending out Josh and Caroline Roland with gospel partners.

During Plant Camp 3, we had the privilege of mobilizing 91 people from 5 churches in 5 states to come alongside Gospel Hope Church in serving at Riverton Town Days. Our staff, students, and sponsors tirelessly served tens of thousands of people all weekend long. We're grateful for the connections we've been able to make in this community!

We would like to thank the nearly 100 volunteers from Gospel Hope Church who served the Riverton Community during Riverton Town Days!

Among many other things, these volunteers passed out water to those who attended the parade, walked the parade route and filled almost 75 industrial trash bags after the parade ended, served drinks and bussed tables at the Chuckwagon Breakfast, helped with a water stop at the Country Mile Run, and stayed after the firework show concluded to pick up trash.

Town Days would not have been the success that it was had it not been from the terrific help that came from these Gospel Hope Church volunteers. Thank you!

2022 will mark our 10th summer of Plant Camp in Utah. Over the past 9 summers, we've mobilized over 1,500 students and sponsors to serve our small family of churches and the communities that surround them. In 2022, by God's grace, we're expecting those numbers to potentially reach or exceed 2,000 participants. We'd ask that you be in prayer for our ministry endeavors of informing, serving, and proclaiming the gospel to one of the most unreached states in the US.

Every summer, in partnership with churches like Gospel Grace Church and Gospel Hope Church, we welcome students and young adults from all over the country to Plant Camp. This church planting intensive provides our local churches with immediate impact to our surrounding community through various ministries.

What's more, over the years we've found that, through targeted sessions and practical ministry tools, students and sponsors have returned to their home churches energized to minister to their own surrounding communities.

As the Lord allows for more churches to be planted in Utah, we will continue to facilitate Plant Camps. Currently, we're committed through the summer of 2023 with specific dates, but we still also have a few spots available for this coming summer of 2020. A new church planting team is forming! We rejoice in God's work in Kevin and Misty Inafuku's life to bring them to Salt Lake City to join the Brooks Family as a church planting team! This June, Kevin and Misty will be sent from Harvest Baptist Church in Guam to Salt Lake City. Their 5 year goal is to learn church planting in SLC and then be sent on to multiply churches in Hawaii.

Our family has been burdened for awhile to go back to Hawaii, where I was born and raised, to be a part of a church planting team for the Gospel. After being at Harvest Baptist Church for almost 15 years, God has aligned an equipping opportunity with Danny Brooks & Kristen Brooks to allow our family to prepare for Hawaii in a very strategic way. We will be partnering with them and Plant4theGospel in a brand new church planting effort in Riverton, Utah. Our desire is to land in SLC by June 2017.

This will be a difficult transition for us as we love our church family here at Harvest and the island of Guam. God has been gracious by giving us many awesome years here on Guam, however we are excited for how He is leading us through SLC to Hawaii. We will miss all of you who have been a part of our lives here on Guam, but we will take with us many wonderful memories which we will never forget.

We are praising God for His leading in Danny and Kristen Brooks' lives as they walk by faith to partner with us in church planting in the Salt Lake valley. This last Sunday, Danny announced to his congregation, Heritage Bible Church, that beginning in 2017, they will begin raising support to move their family to Utah with a goal of relocating in June.

Danny posted the following update yesterday.

"This past Sunday we shared with our Heritage Bible Church family that we’re relocating to Salt Lake City next summer. The Spirit, the scriptures, the counsel & encouragement of family and friends, and circumstances aligning at this time have been the means of God’s shepherding us into this decision. It’s been a slow and steady process of decision, but how thankful we are for God’s care in our lives.

Sent out by Heritage Bible Church, in partnership with Gospel Grace Church of SLC and by the grace of God we hope to do church planting in the Valley. I’ll be remaining in the current position as pastor of HBC through December 31 and then shifting into church planter status and mode January 1. We’ll be preparing for ministry in SLC, raising support, and giving our kids the opportunity to finish the school year here before we move west in June. And all of this as the Lord wills.

Kristen and our children are 100% for this. I’m grateful for a wife & best friend who happily partners with me in a huge change like this. I’m grateful for the way our children have eagerly embraced God’s will even though it means change and challenge for them too.

I’m grateful for the elders and deacons who have prayed with us, shared their wisdom, pushed back with legitimate questions & concerns, encouraged, and supported us. And the pastoral team & staff I work with are remarkable! These men and ladies are already shouldering an enormous load; these plans have made the load significantly heavier.

One of several passages God has made alive in our hearts is Romans 8:29: "For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that He might be the firstborn among many brothers." Did you know that at this very moment less than 3% of the population of the greater Salt Lake area claims to know and follow Christ? That does not seem to be many. We believe there are more brothers to be won for the Son than 3%. How thankful we are for those who have faithfully labored in the Valley for decades! They are part of the reason the Valley seems ripe for the gospel. But we believe that the Father’s promise has more fulfillment to be realized. Is it not reasonable to think that He has foreknown and predestined more than 3%? Is it not reasonable to think that significantly larger numbers than 3% of people made in His image and for His glory should know Him and love Him and worship Him? And if the gospel is the power of God unto the salvation of all who believe, will not gospel preaching be the means of salvation for the many in SLC? And is it not reasonable to believe that it is God the Father’s plan to employ ordinary people like us to preach that gospel in SLC? Has God ever had another plan? (Look up Romans 10:13-15.) Such Scripture and such thoughts are what compel us to go. So on the basis of the promises of God the Father to God the Son pray with us that by the power of God the Holy Spirit many brothers will come to be conformed to the image of the true and only Son.

Thank you for praying and sacrificing with us! God has provided a , and we are grateful! We celebrated our first Sunday in the building this weekend! New friends and neighbors popped in with us for a great day of worship and the Word.
