Vicky Chavez was granted a stay of deportation the week of 4/15/21, and is free to leave sanctuary at First Unitarian Church! Life begins again for her! It's hard to start anew, particularly financially. Saturday will mark the third year in a row Vicky Chavez has been living in a Salt Lake City church. And now, she’s asking President Joe Biden for help. Chavez is an undocumented immigrant and she and her two kids have been seeking sanctuary at the First Unitarian Church since 2018.
