John 19:26-27 - When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to her, “Woman, here is your son,” 27 and to the disciple, “Here is your mother.” From that time on, this disciple took her into his home.

While dying on the cross, Jesus was concerned for his mother. How did you treat your mom this Mothers day?

In memory of those who have fallen asleep in Christ at the SLC church of Christ.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 -13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.

We have yet another soul to rejoice over that has been added to the Lords Church. Walter "Wally" has confessed Jesus as the Son of God and has been been baptized for the remission of his sins. Thank you Wally for your good heart and thank God for the plan of salvation.

Sometimes we think some great feat is needed to bring a soul to Christ but Wally's journey toward salvation began when a sister in Christ did nothing more than ask her co-worker if he would like to come to church. "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take" - Wayne Gretzky

Please join us in celebrating the baptism of Rick Spivey. Despite ongoing health issues and being hospitalized, Rick insisted on being baptized. The Lord has added another soul to His kingdom and everyone at the Salt Lake City Church of Christ couldn't be happier.

Yesterday, we rejoiced with the angels in heaven that four precious souls obeyed the gospel of Christ and were baptized for the remission of sins calling on the name of the Lord. It was an occasion of great joy. May God bless William, Nikolett, Carmen and Timothy. Let us pray for these souls as they begin their journey as Christians.
