One of our sister churches is collecting socks for distribution to the 1000 plus middle school kids in the Shawnee area. The campaign is called Socktober….cleverly combing to the two words.

They have elected to give every kid a pair of socks so they aren’t singling out attention to those in need.

In addition, the collection drive will share socks at the homeless shelters and women’s shelters.

They need over 1000 pairs of new socks.

If you’d like to donate a package (or two), or even a pair of socks, contact Gretchen Rogers Dobbs or Doris Trotter. They’ll make sure the socks get to the Socktober Campaign!
