Today as many are starting the new school year we are praying for you!
Father, we come before You as a new school year begins, and we thank You for the incredible opportunity that is before us.
Lord, we pray for every student. Watch over them, protect them, and give them courage as they walk into a new year. For those who are excited, help them remain grounded. For those who are nervous, remind them that they are never alone. Give them good friends, wise influences, and the confidence to stand for what is right. Help them learn, grow, and discover the gifts and abilities You have placed inside of them.
We pray for every teacher and staff member. Give them patience when they are tired, wisdom when they face difficult situations, and strength when the demands of the year feel heavy. Help them see beyond grades and assignments and recognize the person standing in front of them. Give them opportunities to speak life, encouragement, and hope into their students.
We pray for every administrator. Give them wisdom to lead well, courage to make difficult decisions, and discernment to know what is best for their schools. Surround them with people who will encourage and strengthen them. Give them vision for the year ahead and help them create environments where students and staff can thrive.
Father, we pray for parents and families. Give them wisdom as they support their children. Help homes be places of encouragement, stability, truth, and love.
Most importantly, Lord, we ask that Your presence would go before every school. Protect our students and staff physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Let our schools be places where kindness is stronger than cruelty, hope is stronger than fear, and truth is stronger than confusion.
Give us as Your Church a heart for the next generation. Help us not simply pray for our schools from a distance, but to invest in them, serve them, encourage them, and love the people within them.
Lord, may this be more than just another school year. May it be a year where lives are changed, futures are shaped, and people encounter the love of Jesus.
We place every student, teacher, staff member, administrator, and family into Your hands.
Go before them. Walk beside them. Protect them. Give them wisdom. And let everything they do bring glory to You.
