Wednesday at 6:30 PM At The Lake, our mission is to help people discover their purpose in Jesus; by connecting with God, connecting with others, and connecting others to God. Our worship experiences are high energy, encouraging, challenging, fun, and relevant no matter where you are in your journey. We also have an amazing environment (Lake Kids) where kids from birth to 5th grade can learn more about loving God and loving others. We also offer Connection Groups that meet throughout week for all ages. Lake Students meets on Sunday evenings at 6:30pm for Middle School and High School students.

It’s Friday, but this question from Sunday is still on our minds:

“Is Jesus the Lord of my life—or just part of it?”

That’s a question worth sitting with.

Does He have access to our decisions? Our relationships? Our work? Our finances? Even the way we see people who think differently than we do?

It’s easy to say, “Jesus is Lord.” The challenge is letting that truth shape our everyday lives.

The Gospel Is for Everyone! 🙌

Last week in Acts 10:1–33, we saw God working in the lives of Peter and Cornelius. God wasn’t just changing Peter’s perspective. He was changing his heart!

Peter was learning that the Gospel wasn’t just for a select group of people. Jesus came for everyone!

That same truth challenges us today. Are we willing to share Jesus with people who don’t look like us, think like us, or come from the same background? Are we willing to follow the Holy Spirit when He leads us outside our comfort zone?

The Gospel shows no partiality, and neither should we!

This Sunday, we’ll continue in Acts 10:34–48 as Peter declares that God shows no partiality and we see the Holy Spirit poured out on the Gentiles.

What if the person God wants you to reach is already around you?

Not across the world.
Not someday.
Right now.

In Acts 9:32–43, Peter didn’t wait for people to come to him.

He went.

He served.
He met real needs.
He pointed people to Jesus.

That’s the mission.

We don’t have to save people.
We don’t have to fix everything.
We just have to be willing to show up and point people to the One who can.

So here’s the question:

Who has God placed in your life that needs Jesus?

Maybe they need the gospel.

Maybe they already know Jesus and just need hope again.

Maybe they need someone to serve them before they ever listen to a sermon.

Go where people are.
Love them well.
Serve them.
Point them to Jesus.

That’s what it means to be the Church.

🔥 What evidence is there that Jesus has changed your life?

Today, Pastor Matt continued through Acts 9:20–31 with a timely message about the evidence of a transformed life.

The question isn’t whether you’ve done everything right.

It’s not: Are you perfect?
It’s not: Have you failed?
It’s not: Do you still struggle?

The real question is:

Is there evidence that Jesus is changing you?

Are you becoming more like Jesus?
Are you willing to follow Him when it costs you?
Are you encouraging other believers?
Are you growing and becoming more faithful?

Here are a few questions to carry with you this week:

Is my faith visible?
Would people see evidence that I belong to Jesus?

Am I being a Barnabas?
Am I helping people grow, or holding their past against them?

Am I living faithfully even when I’m misunderstood?
Am I allowing God to demonstrate the transformation over time?

We may not be perfect, but there should be evidence that Jesus is changing us.

What’s on the other side of your “Here I am”? 🔥

Pastor Matt challenged us this Sunday with a simple question: Are you available?

In Acts 9, Ananias answered, “Here I am, Lord”—before he knew the assignment. Then God sent him to Saul, a man whose reputation gave him every reason to hesitate.

He had questions. He had concerns. And he still went.

On the other side of his obedience was a life God was transforming. Ananias got to be part of it because he answered the call.

What might God do through your willingness to take the next step? Who might experience His love because you showed up?

You don’t have to know every detail to make yourself available.

Let this be our prayer this week: “Here I am, Lord. Help me follow where You lead.” 🙌
