MISSIONS MONDAY:
Since 2014, Darla Richardson has ministered to refugees in Memphis, Tennessee—people from Afghanistan, Syria, Morocco, Sudan, Kurdistan, Iraq, and more. When crises in Afghanistan and Ukraine emerged, Darla and the Refugee Memphis team stepped in to help resettle families.

Today, Darla directs the refugee ministry at the Memphis Send Relief Center, offering ESL classes, computer labs, children’s ministry, ladies’ events, Afghan Church, and Bible studies. “We’re meeting felt needs,” she says, “and building bridges for deeper gospel conversations.”

Darla values the friendships she’s built through service. “They’re not just projects or people I help because it’s my job. They’re my friends, and I’m blessed to know and love them,” she says.

When you check the SBC box on your FBC giving envelope, 15% of your offering goes to the Cooperative Program to help make sure refugees in Tennessee experience both the love of Christ and the hope of the gospel.

Pray this week that God will give Darla wisdom and guidance as she leads the Refugee Ministry Center.
