Thank you to everyone that came out to Washtenaw Christian Academy Thursday night to participate in our 7th Annual National Day of Prayer – Washtenaw County! To those that could not make it, we missed you, the best thing is you can mark your calendar now and join us on May 7th, 2026!

This year we changed things up a bit and our youth played a big role. It was so encouraging to hear these talented young kids sing and praise our gracious God! The energy they have to live for Christ was uplifting. The testimonies that they live out daily in our schools will change lives of those around them. One of the most profound prayers and testimonies I heard last night came from a student and FCA member at Saline High School. I believe everyone in attendance was moved and found HOPE through his words.

On a personal note, this week has been a busy, mentally draining week for me. We all have these kinds of weeks in our lives, and I am not complaining, it is life sometimes 😊. WOW, was this exactly what I needed to close out this week, YES it was! The yawning and exhaustion were quickly filled with amazing praise music by the RISE band of Unite Community Church. The prayers from the stage and in the small groups told a story of HOPE and something bigger than my week.

It is hard to explain what kind of JOY a night like last night can bring into our lives. Thank you everyone who joined us last night and hope to see everyone again next year!

Let's pray for unity in brotherly love for God's churches.

"Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other. Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically. Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying. When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality." - Romans 12:10-13
