A Place To Encounter Jesus!

Happy Father’s Day!

Join us tomorrow at 10:00am as we celebrate fathers and worship our Heavenly Father!

In Matthew 14:22-32, Peter steps out of the boat and walks toward Jesus. But when fear overtakes his faith, he begins to sink and cries out, “Lord, save me!”

Immediately, Jesus reaches out and takes hold of him.

Tomorrow, we’ll explore a powerful truth: Jesus didn’t just reach for Peter when he was sinking, He had been holding him all along.

Paul reminds us in Romans 8 that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus.

The Father reaches for us when we fall because He never stopped holding us in the first place.

Come celebrate Father’s Day with us as we worship the Father who never lets go.

The psalmist paints a picture of a life rooted in God:

“Blessed is the one who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, stand in the way of sinners, or sit in the seat of scoffers…”

What does that mean for us today?

Maybe the better question is:

Where are you choosing to WALK, STAND, and SIT?

The influences we follow, the places we linger, and the voices we listen to all shape who we become.

Are we positioning ourselves to receive the blessing and life that God desires for us? Or are we settling into places that pull us away from Him?

Join us as we unpack Psalm 1 and discover what it looks like to be deeply rooted in the Lord and flourishing in His presence.

We’ve seen that Sabbath Rest is where God restores our souls, and that bowing before the Lord is where He strengthens our spirits.

But how do we get there?

In Luke 10:38–42, Jesus answers that question through the story of Martha and Mary.

The best place for a disciple is at the feet of Jesus.

There we find rest.
There we learn.
There we receive mercy and grace.
There we are transformed by His presence.

Last week, we looked at Sabbath, a rhythm where God restores our souls in His presence.

This week, we'll be in Ephesians 3:14-19, where Paul bows before the Father and prays to be strengthened by Him.

One posture restores. One posture fills. Both require humility. Both are essential for spiritual growth.

What happens when we slow down long enough to kneel before the King of Kings and allow Him to strengthen us from the inside out?

We’re revisiting an important rhythm of life: Sabbath.

As summer approaches; full of vacations, BBQs, projects, and busy schedules, it’s easy for life to speed up without pause. That’s why we intentionally return to Sabbath twice a year: once heading into the holidays and once heading into summer.

Sabbath is more than time off. It is intentional time to STOP, REST, DELIGHT, and WORSHIP with the Lord for the purpose of being restored.

God cares deeply about the weight we carry, and He invites us to lay it down in His presence.

So here’s the question:
Are you willing to STOP long enough to be with the Lord?

Throughout this series, we’ve been reminded of who Jesus is and who we are in Him. We’ve been called to set our minds on things above, root ourselves deeply in Christ, and be built up by Him.

Because of that, this chapter isn’t about behavior modification…it’s about living from a heavenly identity.

As we are rooted in Christ, what we “put to death” and what we “put on” becomes the natural outflow of a transformed life.

This week, we’ll be in Colossians 3:5–12.

What does it look like for our outward lives to reflect the inward work Jesus is doing?
