We jumped on the bandwagon. We know. It’s overplayed.
But we couldn’t help ourselves. 😂

If you’ve been around Parallel Church for the six weeks leading up to our Chili Cook-Off, you know exactly what this means.

Our Chili Cook-Off Historian has some WILD stories about his Chili Cook-Off victories. Videos. Pictures. Elaborate retellings. The occasional completely unnecessary fabrications.
And, of course, all of it somehow makes its way into announcements.

So… we decided to take matters into our own hands.

We hope you enjoy our very serious and highly accurate documentary about Jordan’s Chili Cook-Off legacy. 🤣

And before anyone worries… Jordan was BEYOND excited about this. He thought it was the greatest form of flattery and absolutely loved the video.

And to his wonderful wife, Aleen, who gets pulled into Jordan’s shenanigans simply by being married to him… we love you. 😂❤️

It’s our annual Chili Cook-off this coming Sunday, August 30, and we are so excited!

What makes our Chili Cook-off so much fun is YOU! We want everyone to come out, bring your chili, bring your friends and family, and help us make this the best Chili Cook-off yet.

Here are the details:

Bring your chili to the kitchen between 10:00 and 10:30 AM in a crockpot, along with a utensil for serving.

We will have a judging panel choosing first, second, and third place, with our guest judge and Sunday’s speaker, Tyler Etter, joining us.

But the most exciting part is that WE THE PEOPLE get to vote for the People’s Choice!

So bring your best chili and come ready for some good food, good competition, and a whole lot of fun together.

We can’t wait to see you Sunday!

We are always so honored to serve our community through our Food Pantry !

Our doors are open every 3rd Tuesday from 5:30–6:30 PM and we are grateful to partner with the Food Bank of Monterey County to help provide food and resources to local families.

Looking for a place to volunteer? Have a student who needs volunteer hours? We’d love to have you join us!

Volunteers can serve anytime between 4:00–7:00 PM, come for the whole time or jump in wherever you can!

Come serve with us and be part of loving our community in a practical way. ❤️

Hey Church!
We encourage you to be with us this Sunday.
It’s an important Sunday as we pray over our students and school staff and cover them in prayer as they begin a new school year.

One of the most important things we can do as a church community is surround the next generation and those who serve them with prayer.

We hear so many stories of people who are living for Jesus today because of their grandma who prayed for them, a mama who encouraged them, or an auntie in the faith who pointed them toward Jesus and reminded them who they are.

We want to make sure the voices of encouragement and the voices pointing our students and school staff toward Jesus are louder than the voices of the world.

So, if you’re a student or a school staff member, come ready to be prayed over this Sunday!

And Church, come ready to stand with them and cover them in prayer.

We can’t wait to see you!

Today is our monthly Food Pantry.
We will be open from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
If you or someone you know could use a little extra help, please stop by. Everyone is welcome.

If you’re looking for a place to love your neighbor, we would love for you to join us from 4:00 PM to about 7:00 PM as we prepare, serve, and distribute food to our community.
