Pastor Ben unpacked Genesis 22, the story of Abraham and Isaac and showed us why God asked Abraham to sacrifice his son, only to stop him at the last moment.

It’s not divine child abuse, it’s the opposite: God revealing that He provides the sacrifice, so we don’t have to.

A third grader asked: “Why would God call Abraham to sacrifice his own son?”

Most adults can’t answer it. And if you can’t, you’ll miss what Genesis 22 is actually about — because it was never about Abraham’s amazing faith. It’s about God’s amazing love.
