CTK LWML had their annual Salad Supper on Monday night 8-26-24. They invited Trinity Lutheran Church women to join them. The speaker for the evening was The Homestead out of Salina & Manhattan, KS. The women enjoyed all kinds of delicious salads and deserts. They also learned alot about The Homestead.

CTK LWML had their annual Salad Supper on Mon. August 28, 2023. Jane Anderson, with Friends of the River Foundation was the guest speaker. The friends of the River Foundation strive to restore the natural channel of the Smoky Hill River to its role as an integral part of the aesthetic recreational, and economic life of Salina. This is being done in conjunction with the City of Salina and the Corp of Engineers. We enjoyed delicious salads and desserts. We were blessed to have our sisters in Christ from Trinity Lutheran Church join us.

The LWML Kansas District Hutchinson Zone Spring Meeting was this past Saturday at Grace Lutheran in McPherson. The group enjoyed a fabulous Mission Program featuring Keren Comfort Dog. Keren is an LCC K-9 Comfort Dog from Immanuel Lutheran Church in Ellsworth. Top Dog (Carol Kratzer) informed the group of all the ways that Keren serves her community. Carol shared that when Keren is deployed in times of disaster and crisis, she brings comfort to all those affected.
The members of Grace Lutheran served a lovely lunch. The Zone collected over $300 for Mites and Gifts From The Heart (ingathering) items of tissue, toilet paper, paper towels, bedding, and more were collected for The Omega Project. The Omega Project is a faith-based drug and alcohol recovery program. Praise God from whom all blessings flow! 💜✝️💜

Had an AMAZING turn out for Christ The King Lutheran church LWML's Homemade Chicken Noodle Dinner! The support of everyone from potato peelers, pie/cake bakers, cooks, servers, dish duty, clean up, to go orders, deliveries, etc...ALL OF THE VOLUNTEERS to EVERYONE who came out to eat and share in fellowship was such a huge blessing!!

Who doesn't love good old homemade chicken & noodles over homemade mashed potatoes? Served with green beans, dinner roll and a yummy dessert. Come and eat in the Fellowship Hall or take it to go & eat at home.
This is an all-congregation project coordinated by LWML, with the proceeds designated to the Kitchen Appliance Replacement Fund and Salina Grace. You can order a delivery by calling (785) 827-7492. Adults $10, Children (under 10) $5.

CTK Cares Committee along with the help of Thrivent gave snacks and drinks to the 4 fire stations in Salina. This is our way to show thanks for everything that they do for the community.
