Dear Church Family,
What a beautiful expression of God’s love! The Lord brought us through Hands of Hope, and together we exceeded our goal of 101,000 meals! Through willing hands, generous hearts, and extraordinary teamwork, it felt as though mountains moved.
I am thrilled by the turnout from our community and neighboring churches. But words cannot fully express how proud and grateful I am for the love, solidarity, and dedication you, Salina First, demonstrated throughout this packing event. You showed what it means to Love God, Serve Others, and Transform Lives through Christ.
Missiologist David Bosch wrote, “To participate in mission is to participate in the movement of God’s love toward people.” That is precisely what your service expressed: God’s love reaching children through your hands.
Every meal packed represents nourishment, hope, and a reminder to a hungry child that someone cares. Your labor of love honors God and puts Christ’s compassion into action. Thank you to everyone who gave, prayed, organized, packed, welcomed, and cleaned up!
Once Feed My Starving Children informs us where our meals have been shipped, we will share the news and celebrate again. Meanwhile, let us pray for the children and families who will receive them.
