Announcements for the Weekend of June 7

Second Collection and Coffee and Doughnuts
Today’s second collection will be taken up to support the school. The school will also host coffee and doughnuts after the 7:30 and 9:30 A.M. Masses.

Procession of the Blessed Sacrament
We will have a procession of the Blessed Sacrament at the end of the 9:30 A.M. and the 1:30 P.M. Masses this weekend as part of the celebration of the Corpus Christi.

Rosary Rally
The Knights of Columbus are hosting a Rosary Rally Event at the Capital Mall on June 27 starting at Noon and going through 3 P.M. The event is to honor Our Lady of Perpetual Help. All four sets of mysteries will be prayed. For more information, please see the flyer attached to this email

Overflow Seating
Overflow seating will be available upstairs in the parish center chapel on Sunday at the 9:30 A.M., 11:30 A.M. and the 1:30 P.M. Masses.

Job Opportunities
We have a couple of job opportunities with the parish. We are looking for two part time janitorial positions and one administrative assistant. If you are interested, please contact Naomi in the parish office.

Sacred Heart Novena
There will be a novena to the Sacred Heart throughout the Archdiocese starting on May 30 and ending on June 7. You can find the prayers at the links below.

Deacon Jose Ramon Mendez
​And we are sad to announce the death of Deacon Jose Mendez. His funeral will be this Monday, June 1, at Saint Edwards Church at 1:30 P.M. There will be a vigil with a Rosary on Sunday/today at 2 P.M. at Virgil T Golden’s chapel. Please keep his soul and his family in your prayers. Thank you.

Corpus Christi
In keeping with the traditional calendar, we will have a Latin Mass and procession on Thursday, June 4 at 6 P.M. for the Solemnity of Corpus Christi. We will also have a procession on June 7 after the 9:30 A.M. and the 1:30 P.M. Masses.

Middle School Play
St. Joseph Middle School would like to invite the parish and community to their production of the play, Anne of Green Gables, which will take place on Friday and Saturday, June 5 and 6, at 6 P.M. Come join us for an evening of entertainment and to support Saint Joseph School.

El deacono José Roman falleció el domingo 24 de mayo, el estuvo en nuestra Iglesia de San José por muchos años. Su Misa de funeral va ser el Lunes 1 de junio a la 1:30pm en San Eduardo. Y la velacion va ser el Domingo 31 de mayo de 2pm-5pm con un Rosario de 3pm-4pm en Virgil T Golden Services.
