This weekend, we have cards in the pews with a QR code. This is an easy way to connect to our online giving. If you decided that you would like to give in this way instead of using envelopes, please let the office know. This will save the parish funds for having to order envelopes. Thank you.

Daily Mass and Security for the Parish and School
For daily Masses we will be directing people through the parish center from the parking lot into the church. As an alternative, you can park on the street in front of the Church, but it will cost at that time. For security purposes we will lock the parish center at 1 P.M. If you are still in the church after Mass and have parked in the parking lot on Center Street, you will not be able to go through the parish center after 1 P.M.. At that point, you will need to walk around the block to get back to the parking lot on Center Street. Thank you for your helping us secure our parish and school.

Office Closure
In honor of Labor Day, the office will be closed this Monday, September 7.

To begin the Dedication Mass of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Salem, Archbishop Alexander Sample received the keys to the newly restored church from the architecture and construction team.

The Archbishop then handed the keys to Pastor Fr. Jeff Meeuwsen and asked him to officially open the doors of the church. They then processed inside along with the clergy, servers, and congregation for the remainder of the liturgy.

On August 31, 2023, St. Joseph’s was almost completely destroyed by an arson fire. Exactly 3 years later, on August 31, 2026, the community gathered together for the dedication of the restored and beautified church.

Weekend Mass and Confessions
Welcome back into the Church. All Masses and Confessions this weekend will be in the Church. There will be no overflow seating.

Dedication Mass
On Monday, August 31, at 6 P.M., we will have the official dedication with Archbishop Sample. The doors will open at 5:30 P.M. There will be many people attending this Mass so we will provide overflow seating in the gym, the cafeteria, and the chapel upstairs. There will be food and drink in the parking lot after the Mass.

August 31, Noon Mass
We will still have the noon Mass on Monday, but this will be in the parish center chapel.
