2 Thessalonians 3:13 NLT
When it seems as if all you receive for your kindness is misunderstanding,
judgment, or doubt, then you start to wonder if it’s really worth it. We try to hold
on to what we have rather than sharing it because we “might run out”. Think
about the last time you gave kindness, love, joy, or peace to someone else. Did
you feel loss or did you feel as if you gained something? When we are willing to
share space with others, then we get to experience love in relationships. Sure,
we are tired of the sadness, brokenness, hurt, and despair that comes along with
this life. But we must not be fooled into thinking we’re too tired to do good, for
God has made us to do exactly that — good. Our willingness to participate in his
mission bears fruit in the most beautiful and unexpected ways. Please never tire
of being kind, of loving others as God loves you
