Every Sunday is special when we gather for worship, and this past Sunday we focused on the visual arts, the “Fruit of the Spirit” and how God is often referenced throughout scripture as an artist! It was an extra blessing to have one of our church members share her gifts and lead us in worship through her painting. Here are a few photos!

The church staff had an amazing team-building retreat at the lake today. There was fun, fellowship, laughter, and games! Thanks to Reed for hosting, and prayers for Kitty who missed out but was kind enough to not share her cold with everyone else.

We had a marvelous and meaningful week at Montreat Youth Conference with the theme “Wander and Wonder!” What a joy it is to worship, learn and play together! Here are some snapshots of our week!

Road Trip VBS was full of fun, laughter, and learning! Through Old and New Testament stories, our children learned that God is always with us. When we are joyful (like Mary) or lonely (like Zacchaeus), God is there! Thank you to all the volunteers who prepared meals, lead groups, prepared crafts, and more. We couldn't plant the seeds of love and faith in God without you!

One week from today is Kids Fun Day! Join us to beat the hot temps and thunderstorms for a morning of fun, friends, and creativity. A guardian must remain with the child, but we will provide the activities for a break from the norm. Bring a friend and we will see you there!

We're excited to get this show on the road! Register today for our upcoming Vacation Bible School! We have something for everyone 👍

We packed as much as possible into our Elementary Mini-Missions week! Our lessons focused on scriptures about giving and serving with a joyful heart and open hands. We made cookies, muffins, and more then delivered them to our community helpers. We made dog and cat toys for the Salem Animal Shelter and care packages for Carillon Children's Hospital. We spread cheer by handing out bananas with cheerful messages and picked up trash around the block. Our young friends helped clean the church and made cards to send to shut-ins. Thank you to those who hosted us and gave their time to us on a tour. Thank you to each of our volunteers, without which this wouldn't have been possible! We pray that seeds of humble giving were planted in the hearts of our participants and that we spread love and hope in Salem!
