All are invited to unite as one diocese at our Diocesan Pilgrimage to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C.

During the pilgrimage, we will gather for Mass, prayer, and fellowship as a diocese. Opportunities for free time will be available to tour the basilica and participate in other activities, as well.

FREE transportation will be offered on buses leaving from multiple areas within the diocese and seats are first come first served!

Vote NO!

Vote NO to Ballot Question 1, the Virginia Right to Reproductive Freedom Amendment!

Voting yes would protect any individual who performs an abortion, even those who are NOT licensed medical professionals. This extreme amendment puts our women and children at risk and protects predators while stripping away medical safeguards.

Saturday, August 15th is the Feast of the Assumption. Since it falls on a Saturday this year, it is not a holy day of obligation. We will offer a 9:00 AM Mass on Saturday to celebrate the Assumption, and we invite you to join us. Please note that the 5:00 PM Mass this Saturday will be for the 20th Sunday in Ordinary Time (not Assumption).

The Basilica of St. Andrew Social Hall

We will be joined by Father Kyle O'Connor (Pastor at OLPH and Campus Chaplain at Roanoke College and past chaplain at William and Mary), Chris Hizelberger (VT Campus Ministry Director), Elizabeth Laux (assistant to Campus Ministry Director Tony Laux at Radford), and three awesome college students.

Our speakers will share thoughts on topics such as:
* Why you should get involved in college campus ministry
* How you get involved in college campus ministry
* What college campus ministry is all about
* Seeking out your Catholic Campus Ministry Program on Your College Campus
* Fitting Mass into your College schedule
* Getting involved in your CCM program on your college campus
* Keeping prayer alive during your college day,
* How to decide on a college with your faith in mind (Public vs. Catholic School)
* Using what you’ve learned at home and Church to help you in a secular, sometimes Godless, world
* Being the salt and light on your college campus

The night's agenda will be as follows:
6:00ish pm ~ Dinner in the Social Hall (pizza, drinks, and an ice cream bar)
6:30ish pm ~ Program begins
7:30ish pm ~ Evening Prayer & Closing
