The Holy Scriptures consist of 66 canonical books of the Old and New Testaments. The Scriptures, in their original autographs, are the products of the immediate inspiration of the divine Person of the Holy Spirit, so that the human authors of the books of the Bible recorded exactly and fully the message of divine revelation given by the Spirit. The skills, knowledge, and personal styles of the ind

ividual human authors are the vehicles used by the Holy Spirit to produce an infallible record of God's saving self-revelation in history, law, poetry, prophecy, and epistle, so that there is no error in either report or doctrine.

PRAYING...glorify Your name!

"Father, glorify your name." Then a voice from heaven, saying, "I have both glorified it and will glorify it again" (John 12:28).

Yahweh! There is a war against Your name and that of the name of Your holy Son, Jesus! You said You would glorify Your name. Jesus promised power in and through His name, special access to heaven through prayer in His name. Intimidating cultural pressures seek to enforce the notion that the name of one god is as good as the name of another. We refuse to believe that general delivery prayers end up in the same place as those prayed by godly, Christ-honoring, bloodstained, Spirit-filled believers. We believe that prayer, in His name, has special power. We seek only to glorify Your name, God. Therefore, we ask for a new boldness to openly identify with Your name. And we ask that You reveal Your glory around Your name. Give us the courage to refuse generic descriptions for our Savior, Jesus, There is no other name. Glorify it. Jesus. There is no other name. Glorify it. Be anonymous no more. Reveal to unbelievers and skeptics alike, that You are not dead. You are alive. When Your name is called, You answer. When Your name is raised, You respond. When children whisper Your name, call them, like young Samuel, to generational mission. We will say Your name. We will glorify it. Praise God! Thank You, Jesus! We ask You to do what we can't do, wake up the dead by the sound of Your name. Calm the seas. Heal the sick. Deliver the captives. Loose the bound. Do it for Your glory. Do it to declare the sanctity of Your name. In Jesus Name. Amen.

PRAYING..for a gentle spirit

God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble (James 4:6).

Dear Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, Lord, in this push and shove world, we Christians have changed. There was a time when we were tender. We had sweetness in us. Pain and disappointment callous our souls. Tragically, we no longer see such an attitude as inconsistent with our faith. Like Peter, we grab for a sword in conflict. How many have You had to heal that we wounded? The world says, "Be self-sufficient, tough, strong, and independent. Need nothing or no one." You prefer child-like innocence. Living in this tough, talk-back world has changed us. We are stiff and unbending. You are God, yet You humbled yourself. We want the grace You only give to the humble. We want to be tender and teachable, gentle and kind again. We see humility as weakness and servants as inferior. We are afraid to put ourselves last. Do You really trace the steps of those who abandon self to serve You, who look not to their own things, but to the things of others? Christ was about selfless devotion, but it is frightening to us. We have lived so long for self. Yes, we have integrated Christian values here and there. But, we have not made a mad rush for the back of the line. We have not crucified self for kingdom causes. Is it just language? Are these merely words? We know genuinely humble and authentic Christians. They were not weak. An inner strength anchors them. Beneath gentle ways, we sense giant strength. Help us to humble ourselves. Infect us with servant hearts. Don't resist us as proud. In Jesus Name! Amen.

PRAYING...FOR OUTER EVIDENCE OF AN INNER LIFE!

I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit (John 15:5).

Lord, You are the vine Your Father planted in the earth. We are branches, extensions of Your life. In You we have our being. We are to be dependent on You, like a branch out of a vine. Sometimes we are more like artificial Christmas trees. We plug in and out of You, just enough to maintain our color. We bear leaves, but we are fruitless and barren. We are dry. Our growth is dwarfed. We repent. Teach us to live in You, to pray without ceasing, to live with the sap of the Spirit flowing through us constantly. May we never be cut off or disconnected. Do more than green us up to look like Christians. Load our branches down with fruit. May the hungry pull fruit from the branches of our lives--love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, temperance. We give You permission to prune us, to trim back the superfluous and temporal that we might give birth to the eternal. May we bring forth fruit, more fruit, much fruit, fruit that remains. May we flourish. Heal our broken branches. Strengthen us if we have been bent by battling wind and storms. Let Your light break in on us. Send winter fleeing. Give us a brilliant and productive summer. When our branches are loaded with fruit prop us up so we can nourish the fruit to maturity. May weary travelers be refreshed by the life-giving fruit that You miraculously produce through us. Through me. In Jesus Name. Amen.

LEARN TO LIVE from your true Center in Jesus. He resides in the deepest depths of your being, in eternal union with your spirit. It is at this deep level that His Peace reigns continually. You will not find lasting peace in the world around you, in circumstances, or in human relationships. The external world is always in flux--under the curse of death and decay. But there is a gold mine of Peace deep within you, waiting to be tapped. Take time to delve into the riches of His residing Presence. God wants you to live increasingly from your real Center, where His Love has an eternal grip on you. I am Christ in you, the hope of Glory. [Colossians 1:27]

LEARN TO LIVE above your circumstances. This requires focused time with God, the One who overcame the world. Trouble and distress are woven into the very fabric of this perishing world. Only His Life in me can empower me to face this endless flow of problems with good cheer.
As I sit quietly in His Presence, He shines Peace into my troubled mind and heart. Little by little, I am freed from earthly shackles and lifted up above my circumstances. I gain His perspective on my life, enabling me to distinguish between what is important and what is not. Rest in His Presence, receiving Joy that no one can take away from you.

WE NEED JESUS EVERY MOMENT. Our awareness of our constant need for him is our greatest strength. Our neediness, properly handled, is a link to His Presence. However, there are pitfalls that we must be on guard against: self-pity, self-preoccupation, giving up. Our inadequacy presents us with a continual choice -- deep dependence on Jesus, or despair. The emptiness we feel within will be filled either with problems or with His Presence. Make Jesus central in your consciousness by praying continually: simple, short prayers flowing out of the present moment. Use Jesus' Name liberally, to remind you of His Presence. Keep on asking and you will receive, so that your gladness may be full and complete. (John 16:24 AMP)

I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS. These were the last words Jesus spoke before ascending into heaven. He continues to proclaim this promise to all who will listen. People respond to His continual Presence in various ways. Most Christians accept this teaching as truth but ignore it in their daily living. Some ill-taught or wounded believers fear (and may even resent) Jesus' awareness of all they do, say, and think. A few people center their lives around this glorious promise and find themselves blessed beyond all expectations.

When His Presence is the focal point of your consciousness, all the pieces of your life fall into place. As you gaze at Jesus through the eyes of your heart, you can see the world around you from His perspective. The fact that He is with you makes every moment of your life meaningful.

NEW DEVOTIONAL “ WORSHIP “

The Bible makes faith the only instrument of salvation. This faith is the gift of God. The Bible has a single moral standard -- the holiness of God.

12/28/2020

JESUS IS THE GIFT that continuously gives--bounteously, with no strings attached. Unconditional Love is such a radical concept that even Jesus' most devoted followers fail to grasp it fully. Absolutely nothing n heaven or on earth can cause Jesus to stop loving you. You may feel more loved when you are performing according to your expectations. But His Love for you is perfect; therefore it is not subject to variation. What does vary is your awareness of His loving Presence.

When you are dissatisfied with your behavior, you tend to feel unworthy of His Love. You may unconsciously punish yourself by withdrawing from Jesus and attributing the distance between you to Jesus not being pleased with you. Instead of returning to Jesus and receiving His Love, you attempt to earn His approval by trying harder. All the while, He is aching to hold you in His everlasting arms, to enfold you in His Love. When you are feeling unworthy or unloved, go to Jesus. Then ask for receptivity to His unfailing Love.
