Adult Bible Study 10am - Sunday Worship Service 10:45am >>OUR WEEKLY SCHEDULE

00 years, we subscribe to no formal creed. We simply try to do what Jesus did. Jesus brought a message of love, hope and life. But he offered much more than inspiring words. He understood that people's spiritual needs also include day-to-day human ones -- food, rest, comfort, health, friendship and unconditional acceptance. "I am the Way," he told His followers. He showed them how to trust, how to care and how to help others. Steadily, lovingly, even radically, Jesus went about serving the world -- by serving it's people. Because we believe His message, we seek to do the same. GREEN HILL CHURCH HISTORY
The first service of the church that would become Green Hill was held at Bend Chapel, a union or community church, located five miles southwest of our present location. On May 15,1910 the Union Community Church was dedicated. On October 29, 1917 the first Council meeting was held. The Union Church was then dissolved and was reorganized as Green Hill Church of the Brethren. Baptismal services were held in the small creek near the church and in the Roanoke River. In June,1933 ground breaking services were held for the new church building to be located on land donated by Brother L. Kinzie (our current location). An educational building was added and was dedicated on October 19, 1958. In1998 the church purchased the Davis property, which adjoined the church property, to be used as a parsonage. This property is not presently used as a parsonage, but provides rental income to our church. Today, the members of Green Hill continue the work of Jesus;
Peacefully, . . . Simply, . . .

Mother's & Father's Day Picnic Today!
Our Green Hill congregation enjoyed a cool "Picnic" in our Fellowship Hall, including hot dogs, hamburgers, BBQ chicken, multiple delicious side dishes, desserts, and watermelon!
Many thanks to all those who shared their delicious dishes, and to Bruce, Theresa, Elaine, Becky, Kathie, Jimmie, and all those who helped organize this most enjoyable event. Most important thanks to Jimmie and Bruce for grilling our burgers and dogs to perfection!

A gracious "Thank You" letter we received from "SHP" (Sleep In Heavenly Peace) featuring many smiling faces of kids with their new beds! We had a wonderful adventure doing something new and different. All who participated really enjoyed the experience.
