Ash Wednesday, February 18, 2026, is the first day of the Season of Lent. Lent is a time for intentional reflection and spiritual renewal. Consider how Jesus’ final moments reveal His love, mission and calling for your life. Use this time to draw closer to Him and align your heart with His purposes.

We would like to invite you to join us in the Salem United Methodist Church Sanctuary for a time of prayer and meditation. We will receive the Imposition of Ashes (an ashen cross placed on the forehead or back of the hand). Families or individuals are welcome to come between 11:00am and 6:00pm. Stay as long as you care to for a time of reading scripture, meditations and prayer on your own. Pastor Valarie Foughty-Killion will be available for conversation and prayer. All are welcome.
