☕Tomorrow begins the first day of the 2024-2025 Bible Reading Challenge!

☕These days can be so discouraging when we look around at everything going on in the world. We can be overwhelmed by all the things that pull us in a hundred different directions. That is why it is so important for us to be reading God's Word everyday. He has given us everything we need to know Him and His will for us in His Word.

☕This is the fourth year that we are reading the Bible together at the Bible Reading Challenge with HBC Ladies Fellowship. You are welcome to join us and invite friends! This is not a Bible reading program that makes you feel guilty if you miss a day or week. We want to encourage each other through the reading of the Bible and make it a life long habit. If you miss a days reading just jump right back in where we are. To the Word!

☕️ Actual Bible reading among Christians is entirely too rare. In many people’s minds it is a sort of extreme behavior for the exceptionally pious, exceptionally self disciplined, and early risers. But the reality is that God’s Word is for all of us. His Word should be in the middle of our regular lives, however not quiet and not organized that life is! We encourage a scrappy approach that requires nothing more than a Bible and a willingness to read it. Read it like you read anything else! Jump back in when you fall behind, don’t catch up! Just join us day after day as we open God’s Word in the middle of our lives.⁣

☕️ We all know that our world is in desperate need of reformation and revival. You’ve probably asked the Lord for just such a thing! Well let me tell you what we can actually DO that will change the world. We can open up the Word of God, and let it change us. The Word is not a dry owners manual - it is living and active. When we come to the Word humbly, we will meet the Spirit there. When we do that, we are changed!

☕️ One of the wonderful recurring phrases in Psalm 119 is “according to your Word.” What do you need desperately? Encouragement? Joy? Focus? Strength? I’d like to encourage you to pray for what you need with that phrase.
“Lord, encourage me according to your Word.”
“Father, strengthen me for this work according to your Word.”

☕️ This is no time for Christians to be trying to survive on starvation rations! Come be strengthened, encouraged, taught, rebuked, challenged, stretched, grown, and renewed with us - and all according to God’s Word! - Rachel Jankovic

Come Worship the risen Savior with us today! Sunday school 10 am, Worship service 11 am, and Sunday evening at 6 pm.

This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Acts 4:11-12

It has been brought to my attention that today is the International Day of Happiness. This has got me thinking that as Christians we ought to be the happiest people in the World. No matter what our trials may be, we can stand steadfast in the love of Christ, knowing that "all things work together for good to those that love God, to those who are called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28 "Happy is that people, that is in such a case: happy is that people, whose God is the Lord." Psalm 144:15

The definition of joy is gladness not based on circumstance. The Bible says in James 1:2-4 "Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." I'd love to hear how God has been working in your life over this past week. How has He enabled you to count it all joy? What has He been teaching you about Him and yourself? What opportunities has He given you to share your faith with others?

Come and worship with us today the only One who brings true happiness and joy!

Candlelight service tonight at 6 pm. We welcome you to join us as we celebrate the incarnation of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It will be a beautiful evening of singing Christmas hymns and listening to testimonies of God's wonderful work that He is doing in our lives.

We are continuing to be challenged and encouraged as Pastor Chad preaches through 1 Peter in our Sunday morning worship service. Sunday evenings we are digging deeper into the Scriptures to search out every truth of the gospel. We invite you to visit us during any of our services. Sunday School for children and adults starts at 10 am, Worship Service at 11 am, and Sunday Evening Service at 6 pm.

This Sunday, July 25th, we will be hearing from missionary to Romania Kyle Briar and his family. There will a potluck lunch after our Worship Service and no Sunday Evening Service. We are looking forward to learning more about their ministry and hope you make plans to join us!
