Sainte Anne Parish is a faith community in the Roman Catholic tradition. We see ourselves as a local expression of the universal Church, the People of God, the Body of Christ. Through God's grace we seek to be welcoming and loving. Our life centers on the celebration of the Eucharist. We meet Jesus Christ in the Eucharist and are then challenged and commissioned to share our faith and to bring His

love to others. We invite all to share with us faith in Jesus Christ and His gospel, loving service of others, and living our lives for the greater honor and glory of God.

Today we celebrate one of the most holy mysteries in the Church. We hear Jesus say, “This is my body”, and we believe him. We truly believe that he is present in the Eucharist – body, blood, soul, and divinity.

It is with both deep gratitude and heartfelt sadness that we bid farewell to Fr. Joseph, who has been a beloved shepherd of our parish community.

As many of you know, Fr. Joseph's time with us is coming to an unexpected close due to circumstances beyond his control. While this moment is not the one any of us would have chosen, we trust in God's providence even in times of uncertainty.

Last weekend, as we gathered to celebrate his final Mass with us, we were reminded of the many ways Fr. Joseph has touched our lives - through his faithful leadership, compassionate care, and constant witness to the love of Christ. He has walked with us in our joys and sorrows, strengthened our faith, and built a community rooted in hope and kindness.

Though his departure is difficult, our gratitude is even greater. We send Fr. Joseph forth with our prayers, asking that God bless and sustain him in this time of transition. May he feel the love and appreciation of this parish wherever he goes, and may the doors open for him to continue his ministry in new ways.

In the words of Fr. Joseph, "I am unable to adequately convey my gratitude to all of you for the demonstration of affection during my final weekend Mass. Thank you for organizing such a memorable occasion for me. The cake, the choir, your personal message, and words of commendation and encouragement were genuine expressions of your affection, and I will cherish them deeply. I am fortunate to have known and served alongside you these past two years. With your prayers, I am confident that our parish will navigate this challenging period. Let us remain in contact and hope for a reunion in the near future."

Fr. Joseph, thank for the gift of your presence among us. You will always remain in our hearts and in our prayers.

May God bless and keep you, may God's face shine on you, may God be kind to you and give you peace ❤️🙏

I am pleased to share that Ste. Anne's has raised $23,290, which is 116% of our parish goal of $20,000! This means that we will once again receive a rebate from the Archdiocese of Boston. Thank you for your generous support in helping us to reach - and exceed - our goal for the second year in a row!

Eight beloved young boys and girls received the beautiful Sacrament of First Holy Communion from Fr. Joseph Ogazie on Sunday, May 17th during the 11AM Mass. Surely God shared in the joy that filled the church during this splendid Mass. We are so blessed to have these children among us, to have our faith, and to have our Administrator, Fr. Joseph Ogazie, with us to celebrate this beautiful, holy Sacrament! Visit our website to see more pictures from our wonderful celebration! www.stannesalem.org

The Archdiocese of Boston has appointed Fr. Guy Sciacca Administrator of Ste. Anne's effective June 2nd. Fr. Sciacca was born on January 24, 1950, in Boston and raised in Medford at St. Joseph Parish. He is the son of the late Guy and Bernadette (Kilroy) Sciacca, and brother to Frank, Antoinette, Vincent, Josephine, and Valeda.

He attended St. Joseph's parish elementary school before completing high school at Christopher Columbus in Boston's North End, then went on to study at North Adams State College (now Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts). After graduation, he taught high school French and English for a few years and then went on to pursue an administrative career in higher education.

Nearly three decades later, he entered Pope St. John XXIII National Seminary, graduating with the Class of 2010. On May 22, 2010, he was ordained at the Holy Cross Cathedral by Cardinal Sean P. O'Malley. Following his ordination, Fr. Sciacca served in several archdiocesan parishes as parochial vicar, administrator, or senior vicar.

Please join us in giving Fr. Guy a warm Ste. Anne Family welcome!
